Winner takes all sounds good but it's actually a bad idea because of judging. As a fighter, I couldn't be confident enough in the judges that they would give me the decision even if I won.
They're both talking Bollocks! they're both saying it because they both know it would/could never happen. Boxers do talk a lot of shit, fair play.
I've wondered this to.. As powerpuncher says the judges would be a big problem, but if they made it hinge on a stoppage either way or else normal split it could work I guess. Still increases the chance a ref is compromised and stops it early though. I seem to remember Tarver making some kind of bet with Hopkins that he'd knock him out in so many rounds, but I don't know if that was legit or actually in the contract, probably not.
It has never happened and never will. All utter rubbish. Khan is only saying it because he is clearly ducking Brooks for a fight this year.
Khan also said he would end Brooks career by giving him a beating. Khan is dreaming as he does not hit hard enough.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
I doubt it will ever happen. Who would pay for the loser's corner, management, promoter etc. ? Who would train you for free, fly there on their own dime just to gamble 3 months worth of work, gym time, sparring, etc. So everyone connected to that fighter would have to gamble if he struck a deal like that. Trainer, manager, promoter, sparring partners, nutritionist, family etc.
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.
