Default Tyson Fury in talks to make MMA debut

Apparently he is in serious talks with Bellator MMA, which is the 2nd biggest MMA promotion behind the UFC.

Fury has more common sense than that. I hope.

    James Toney was dumb.

    Depends.

It would be a big ticket seller. They might agree stand up only or no kicks.

Kicks would be the thing that would fuck up what tyson is on the verge of. If he got hurt to the legs that fucks up his training.

If he gets taken to the ground he can just submit and still get paid.

It would be interesting to see for sure, we've never had an A-level boxer come over to MMA in his prime. James Toney was old, Ray Mercer was old, Art Jimmerson was a journeyman, Mayorga was washed up...

The exciting thing for MMA fans is that with a world level boxer wearing tiny MMA gloves... it only takes one punch. Ray Mercer showed that.

I hope it's for real, let Tyson get it out of his system once and for all.

He challenged Cain Velasquez a while back. Lucky for Tyson, in my opinion, Velasquez told him he had to earn a shot first.
He's a big guy, so who knows, he might do all right with the right opponent.

Now I know Fury is more about the money, but surely even he wouldn't have that sort of attitude? If he did, he might as well give up all kinds of sports and play shove ha'penny! I've never heard anything so ridiculous in all my life.

This is something that will never happen, no way would Fury jeapordise a massive fight with Klitschko which is now almost inevitable in order to start MMA. If he gets obliterated by Klitschko and can't see a way back to the world title scene then maybe, but right now he'd have to be a complete moron to even consider it.

    You havent lived then!

    Its not ridiculous at all.

Tyson is on the verge of a massive fight and as much as people refuse to believe he has a chance against Wlad he does a very real chance. If he were taken to the ground and was to have any of his limbs manipulated to the point they were about to break he could still submit, get paid and go in to the Wlad fight and carry on with his career.

Its two different sports and of you have invested time and money getting Tyson to the point he is in his career would you really want him getting injured in a sport he knows little about?

If you can make him a match and get him well paid where he can call the shots then why not?
