hook technique

i feel taht my hook isn't right it just feels..wrong and i woudl've asked the gym trainer but teh gyms been closed for a while now because they had to replace the floor.none of my family know anything bout boxing or my friends. i''ve read a heap of ur posts and stuff and you people have helped me with alot of stuff so i thought id try u.i just dont know how to hook and when i do try it looks lik my arm is just swinging helplessly

Buy some videos about it or just watch fights thats some of how i learned was watching tommy morrison fight, you turn your foot like your squashuing a bug and curve your elbow it's got alot to do with your back and legs,shoulders

when i was a newb trying to figure it out
i was makin the mistake of being to far from the bag which makes me swing my arms
and i also injured my shoulder for about a month too
try moving closer to the bag
