    Default Canelo vs GGG

Let's make this fight happen this year!

Canelo took a lot of punches last night but his timing, accuracy and power were impressive.

He will always struggle against mayweather but anyone else that wants a fight he will bring it!

Canelo vs GGG...when will this fight happen?

I don't think it will happen until it is clearly the most lucrative fight. Right now Canelo can still look to Manny or Cotto for a better payday. Beyond that Canelo needs to fight Andrade more than he needs to fight GGG. Everyone seems to have multiple missions when planning to keep GGG away from bigger fighters they also seem to plan for smaller fighters to come up to him. There is no point, other than money, for Canelo to move up if he can't even show he is the best at 154.

GGG hurts the kid, if CAnelo can take it and bring some pain of his own then it might be a good scrap. I'll take GGG though.

GGG is a fight I would love to see, Canelo is good and I like him but he will not last 6 rounds,
with GGG and if Canelo goes for the fight fair play to him.!

He's going to get ruined by GGG. Too big for him, too relentless, and too durable to be worn down by Canelo's power. Saul was winded fighting at the pace Kirkland set, and he can't lay on the ropes and take a break like that against GGG. GGG stops him in the mid rounds.

GGG kills him. I would love to see that fight, especially since GGG can make 154 pretty easy, but Canelo won't make that fight right now. I don't blame him. Would like to see Canelo fight Cotto, with the winner to face GGG after he destroys Quillin. That scenario is the least likely but I would like to see things unfold that way.

Golovkin is not some free swinger who leaves his chin hanging in the wind. Canelo may think he is some counter punching cyclone after last night but Golovkins punch selection and mentality would bust him up badly.

If this fight was to happen you can't see anything other than a GGG win but I think Alvarez would make a good fight of it, it would suit him a hell of a lot more than Mayweathers style anyway

Umm, how can you possibly know GGG can make a weight he has never made "pretty easy"?

That is a very derogatory statement. Lets keep it clean please.

Really we are making Canelo a threat on the back of his Kirkland win,! in all honesty it's not
much to go on is it, GGG will I feel walk through Canelo or anybody at light or middle weight.
Martin Murray was one tough SOB, and he beat the crap out of him,! so Canelo is no were near
as big or strong, and I can't see him taking the beating Murray took.!

    GGG by TKO in 6

Right now I am even leaning towards Cotto to beat Canelo based on how poorly Canelo kept Kirkland off of him. Sure he ended up KO'ing Kirkland, but he couldn't keep James off of him all that well. You see a few times where James would drop back and gather himself....really after 1 bum rush straight forward being fended off you'd assume that Kirkland would have started looking for angles and stayed on the outside trying to work in behind the jab, but he didn't.

Canelo is a good boxer, but he takes his time in the ring and he's not as forceful when he's not getting his way in there which can give the wrong guy a little sniff of victory and to a hungry fighter that's a very dangerous thing.

I don't see this fight happening until after Alvarez gets Cotto in the ring.
