I believe in the right to assisted suicide.

    Why not let him continue?

I don't mind him fighting the tomato cans, but it will feed his delusion that he can be champion again and then he will probably get a shot and get hurt again. Not good.

    “My dear,
Find what you love and let it kill you.
Let it drain you of your all. Let it cling onto your back and weigh you down into eventual nothingness.
Let it kill you and let it devour your remains.
For all things will kill you, both slowly and fastly, but it’s much better to be killed by a lover.
    ~ Falsely yours”

In a strange way I endorse Jones Jnr. If you dont do what you love you will only hate yourself and that can lead to even worse things. Jones Jr. should carry on for what else is there?

As long as he's fighting these bums I don't mind.

When he starts talking about fighting Kovalev, or a Marco Huck, or Deontay Wilder, then I'm going to be concerned.

I've come full circle on this. As a youth I thought let fighters fight. As I grew up i began to think about what's best for the fighters. After seeing what's best for the fighters in practice I'm not so concerned with what is best for them anymore. That's what leads to all this maximizing which leads to good fights "marinating". Now I think, just make the damn fights. And I think if a man wants to fight let him. Let's be real, it's not as if he doesn't know the dangers. If he is okay with the risk and medically cleared how the hell are we going to tell him he can't? It's his life, if he wants to shorten it and have hard years when he is older good luck to him. We can hope for the best but it isn't right to force our wills on anyone.

Well I think you also have to look at not just what's good for the boxer, but what's good for the sport.

Having ex-boxers in their 40s and 50s stumbling around with marbles in their mouth is not good for the sport. Letting a washed up old boxer get in the ring and get seriously injured or killed by a young lion is not good for the sport. If that happens it comes back on the promoter and the commission, so the commission needs to protect it's own ass and look out for the safety of these guys.
