Timing by the looks of it. You can see he is on the move so he doesnt over reach for it. He is also already coiled and on the turn off of already landing the right in a flurry of shots, low guard shots bringing the guys arms down. Its doesnt look like something he did from stand still it was an end move as the guys right came down and he backed out, Ray would release the front foot shuffle in to follow, land and twist in bodily behind the landed shot.

    I can explain it.
But I cant understand it for you.

The actual technique of a longer hook not landing it in a real fight. How do you do it how does it differ from the short hook.

The body mechanics are the same, you just open up the arm more. Don't bend it as much.

    Thankyou grey

So even Ray threw it the normal way, he didnt do anything special? (he was just special in terms of power and speed and skill?)

So basically rotate the hips drive from the legs, open the arms up, stay relaxed and at impact clench the fist, is that all there is to it? Is that all that Ray did?

You do see how he set it up so he could do it though cant you?
You dont just step out open up and do that or you are going down.

There is a very long leaping hook too, one that bridges a large distance, done only in combination and in response to another move.
