Default RRR is more popular than GGG, but how about Floyd and Manny?

Yes I'm talking about Rowdy Ronda Rousey and I know this thread should be in the MMA Forum but I want to know what real boxing fans think about Rousey.
I don't know if she's more popular than Floyd but I know she's more exciting to watch than Floyd and when Manny is fighting Floyd, she's more exciting than both of them.
Ronda was supposed to win against Correia and she did in an exciting way.
Correia deserves some credit too, as she promoted/talked herself into a UFC main event in Brazil. Bethe should stop fighting and start promoting.
What do you think about Rowdy Ronda Rousey?

She's head and shoulders above the rest.

Her last 4 fights COMBINED have lasted 130 seconds, and she's fighting the best available.

    Bethe Correia, 9-0, 3-0 UFC..... KO'd in 34 seconds.

Cat Zingano, 9-0, 2-0 UFC.... submitted in 14 seconds

    Alexis Davis, 16-5, 3-0 UFC.... KO'd in 16 seconds

Sara McMann, 9-0, 1-0 UFC, Olympic Silver medalist in wrestling.... TKO'd in 66 seconds.

The only real interesting fight out there for her is Cyborg.

To be fair Rousey could be mowing her lawn in running shorts and be exciting. She's dominant, very skilled but her matches seem like just a formality going in. Great great marketing and mass media exposure will do that also. Can you picture Manny naked on the cover of a ESPN mag

Ronda says she's not a catch weight girl, if Cyborg can't make 135 no fight!
Don't know if she'd go for a catch weight non-title fight or not. Would the UFC even allow that type of fight?
In the past, Cyborg has stated her doctor advised her against going to 135.
Recently I read Ronda wants to beat Cyborg in her retirement fight, so there seems to be some wiggle room there.
Money brings down barriers so what do you think?

If Cyborg doesn't make 135, the fight won't happen.

Ronda's the draw, she's the superstar, so she's not going to chase the fight.

Doesn't make business sense for Dana and the UFC. He's said that he has no plans on adding more female weight classes in the future so why would he gamble one of his biggest superstars in a non-title fight - belts aren't won and defended at stupid catch weights like boxing, after all.

I also think it's Rousey's not so subtle way of accusing Cyborg of doping, and demanding she get off the gear and drop some muscle mass before fighting her.

The day she can do 2 to 4 million buys then I will say she is more popular. It is apples and oranges and to be honest I could care less if any mma fighter man or woman is more popular then a fighter in our beloved sport. MMA is always calling out boxers more often then boxers are calling out mma fighters. I lost interest in UFC a long time ago when they used to put all those supposed bad asses in a house together and usually after they lost they would cry like little girls saying that their whole life depended on winning. Sorry to get off the beaten path but I'm done caring about mma and the little flare ups it produces.

I'm pretty sure that if GGG, Manny, or Floyd were taking on novices in their sports they would be just as dominant. She is very skilled in her sport BUT let's keep things in perspective, she is a two time Olympian in a combat sport taking on women who are athletic but don't have NEAR the depth of experience in the mentality of elite combat sports. Put Floyd in with Charlie Zelenoff or some guy walking off the street and it's over in the first round.

Ronda is a bronze medalist in Judo. She TKO'd an Olympic silver medalist in wrestling in a minute and 6 seconds.

That was an early stoppage though. No way McMann should have been stopped there.

I agree it was an early stoppage, but still... she's not beating helpless slouches out there.

Let's not be crude, there's a high probability Gandalf will read this thread. This unnecessary crudeness on top of his nervous condition could very well keep him abed for a few days.😉
