I went to the Hall of Fame in Los Angeles last October to get a picture taken with Duran-since he was inducted there in Oct. at the LAX Marriot. But he did not come in to the dinner the way I thought he would since I did not see him. Maybe I left too early. I would have loved to have had a picture with him, and any of the legends of the 80s -Hearns, Hagler, Leonard. Got a picture with Julian Jackson and Emile Griffith and a few others. Ken Norton was there. The man is big.

If you practice you will be able to do it more and more.

Duran was really impressive as a lightweight. I'm going to have to go back and watch his fights.
If you hear a voice within you saying that I am not a painter, then by all means paint and that voice will be silenced.

he was dominant against guys who were not at his high level. And he was a great fighter. But once he moved up and fought the same high level he started losing. Yet people say it was because of weight and age. So what can be said.

Many people forget about his lightweight days he was out of his prime in the 1980's.He was unstoppable at lightweight.Extremely high work rate tremendous power.I dont see anyone coming close to beating him at lightweight maybe aaryon pryor. He beat sugar in his prime if you watch the first fight sugar gave his all and it was a close fight. He beat benetiz?beat hearns?and runs all night like a girl agaisnt hagler, throwing a flury of punches in the last 10 seconds of every fight.Duran at the time was getting old and he had trouble getting up for certain fights for example he knocks out barkeley at 37 years old wins the fight, barkeley knocked out hearns. He was best at lightweight and should not have gone higher then welterweight those that was his natural weight.
