Default Fighters who can't get "HIGH" profile fights

As an Olympian I would think Demetrius Andrade would have at least gotten a high profile fight by 2015 midyear.

Is it him? His team or are the fighters not wanting to give him his due?

Crawford seems to be a big hit in his home state, but not nationally.

GGG seems to be known among hardcore fans, but is he known globally?

GGG has a decent reputation here in England, he is known by more than just the casual fan I would say.

I'd strongly bet GGG is currently the most popular fighter in the world.

So far in his pro career he's fought in Germany, Panama, Kazakhstan, Denmark, Ukraine, Monaco, California and New York. Beat that.

Yeh I have to say Golovkin has managed to put his face on the map. Maybe not in a mega showdown way but certainly with activity and network exposure. He and Andrade couldn't be further apart in style, temperament or travel. Andrade can blame his people but fact is he walked away from a Charlo showcase and over valued himself. Consequently he balked at other potential matches and has since been stripped. Whatever the deal is he has nothing but go backwards.

If high profile fights means big money fights then GGG v Saul/Cotto or Khan v Floyd/Manny.

Further down the food chain is Brooks v Khan.

Anyone hardcore Mexican fight fans? Just wondering is Jose Benavidez considered average? I thought he would have a lot of fanfare by now.

Then he is getting raked because he barely cracked a million last fight. He'll finally get paid next fight.

Crawford is being paced. He'll be in the big time by the end of next year.

I hope you are right but unless Pac is ruined and they are looking to cash him out who will Crawford fight? TRs stable at 140/147 is bare.

He's had to work harder than most to get to the top.

    Purse against Geale - $750,000
Purse against Rubio - $900,000 (base)
Purse against Murray - unknown (would it be fair to assume $1 million?)
Purse against Monroe - $1.5 million

So in the space of one year, from what has been reported, he's earnt over $4 million. To earn those millions he's fought 22 rounds. He is now headlining a fight on HBO PPV in a sold out Madison Square Garden.

I'd hardly call him a pauper.

Kell Brook - A 'world' champion in one of the most talent rich & celebrated divisions in boxing & nobody of any note wants to fight him!

He gets fed a diet of the likes No No Dan to feast on when there are so many great fighters around at 147!

Even Amir Khan can't be bothered to fight him & that's one of the biggest fights out there!

I thought about that. Crawford may become so dominant that TR and Haymon's stable will work a deal involving Crawford vs one or some of their top guys. We'll see a megafight between Crawford vs the last man standing at Showtime.

It's weird, been 5 years and both Andrade and Crawford still fit the bill. If anything Andrade has become even more anonymous in the boxing fans big picture.

    Miguel Berchelt for sure.
