Flanagan looked superb. I didn't think it would end that quick.

Liam just took his time, just upped his game and Thompson folded well done Liam he was give the
run a round for the first six round, then he just decided to end things.
Flanagan looked very good,! Magdaleno was supposed to be a real test, not so much his footwear
more like his footwork,! a very wide stance and Flanagan could hit him pretty easy, and that was
the end of Magdaleno, I like Flanagan a likable fella.

Fantastic performance from Flanagan. He looked the business. Well and truly deserves the top spot among the Brit lightweights and will surely get recognised by The Ring and ESPN.

Unfortunately all the other top Brit lightweights are with Matchroom (barring Derry Matthews). So we wont be seeing any of those match-ups anytime soon

Flanagan and Campbell are 1 and 2 in Britain. Really impressed with Flanagan. Didnt think Smith looked good at all. Id say a guy like Trout would school him.

I think Liam is a good fighter, he just let Thompson do his own thing then in the sixth round he
came to life, and he pressed Thompson you could tell the end was coming it was a good knock
out, he may get Schooled by Trout but he was fighting Thompson was he not.!!!!!!

It's about matching him well. He's going to have difficulty against movers. He could be effective against some in the top ten though.

Have you had to go back to dial up? :-)
It dawned on when Magdaleno started "slipping" and others said it was already over that I realized we were on a 4 or 5 minute delay here.

Thompson had never been past eight rounds. I think it was a plan by Smith (Gallagher) to start steady/cautious - Scott Quigg does similar (same trainer). Thompson can't see right hands so it was only a matter of time before he got chinned.
