    Default Happy 100th birthday Sinatra.

Frank Sinatra was born 100 years ago today. The king of cool. No one ever got into more fights and got more pussy than the Chairman of the board. In the middle of the rock era Frank still had 20 straight top ten albums. When he died in 1998 at age 82 he was worth over 600 million dollars. He may be too cool for some of you cats and chicks, baby.

    Frank Sinatra

Who didn't like the way Frank treated woman.

    He called them ......... 'BROADS'

And when they talked a little too much, he would say ........ "SOMEBODY TELL THAT BROAD TO SHUT THE FUCK UP"

Yeah good luck and props to him for riding that wave, but I never actually got his style of crooning,it was like talking to music, not really singing and extending but hey it was big. Whens Dean Martin a hundred?

Sounds like a white version of Ali.

He was a bit like a white Ali, but was superlative within his art form too. In the Wee Small Hours is one of the greatest albums ever made.

That was a great album no doubt. My favorite is Sinatra live at the sands.

I did not get Sinatra and do not understand why he was as big as he was as I did not see him as a great actor, singer or looker.

No doubt he had talent but not for me either. Sometimes its who you know that gets you the biggest exposure in his case the casino and mob bosses.

They had a 2 or 3-part documentary on Sinatra on cable not too long ago. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing all that black and white footage, and hearing accounts from different people in his life. I think Sinatra definitely came along at the right time, and precisely under the right circumstances to make it as big as he did.

How can a singer/entertainer be classified as "overrated"?

We're not talking about a fighter with a gaudy record or hype, who fails to live up to it by losing a big fight. This is an entertainer, with legions of fans.... selling millions of records.... putting an imprint on American music for generations to come.

Whether you like it or not is a personal choice. But the word "overrated" hardly fits a singer.

    True Las Vegas Story

Frank Sinatra was having 'drinks' with friends by his pool.

Angie Dickinson was there as well.

One of Frank's buddies asks him.

Buddy ...... "Hey Frank. I see that Angie has reddish hair now. I thought she had light brown hair."

Frank ....... "Do you want to see close up."

    Buddy ...... "Yea. Why not."

Frank ....... "Hey Angie. Get over here."

Angie ...... "What is it Frank. What do you want."

Frank ...... "Pull down your pants, lower your panties, and show my friend what color your hair is."
