Default Juergen Braehmer needs a life defining fight!

Ok, so Braehmer wont go down as an all time great. But, for his time in the ring, he DESERVES a life defining fight for himself. A fight that can get him paid to retire as well as let him go into retirement as if he actually had a career fighting the fights of fights!!!

    What do you think?!

    Stevenson...Ward...Kovalev...GGG come right to mind!

Why ? :S he is your standard german based sort of champ, he will have made a good living from his career( there is a fair bit of money in german boxing) and I would guess he is able to retire comfortably right now if he wanted to but there is still easy money to be made in germany for him so hats off to the guy. But really he's not that great and isn't even the real wba champion right now, he has had a nice career and he has what he deserves now , I don't understand why does this guy out of all the boxers in the world deserve this ?

It's not just about the money too. But it's about saying you fought the best. He will retire and no one two years post his retirement would know him. That's not a career a TRUE fighter should have!

Case in point, Dariusz Mchelhayababav (whatever). He was supposed to fight Roy Jones Jr. on several occasions, it never happened. Was supposed to fight B-Hop, it never happened. He finally lost his first fight to a bum, went out with a whimper and is STILL not mentioned as an all time great the way his record and his ability should.

If you are a middle tier or top tier guy, you HAVE to have at least one fight with "the man", or one of the men, of the era.

If you were a fighter ranked in the top 3 or had a belt during the dual Floyd/Manny era between 140 and 152, Manny and Floyd didn't need YOU to bring them up. You needed them!

He's probably been paid very well vs how good he is, like a lot of german champs, as was said. Dariusz was the same way, he was supposed to fight Roy Jones but nobody really cared because he would have gotten his ass whipped.

Ass Whooped or not, as a fighter you life for those fights. I'd put it like this, because of Castillo's and Corrales's opportunity to fight Mayweather, Corrales vs. Castillo was bigger than it should have been. But instead of looking like Floyd's leftovers, they had a life-defining fight that no one could have imagined it being that way.

Where would Manny be without Marquez... Floyd without Corrales or Manny... Holyfield without Bowe... Lewis without Holyfield... Leonard without Hearns.... Hagler without Hearns... etc, etc... If you are as good as you say you are, then a life defining fight- for good money, of course- is important!

Take a look at Andre Ward- there is not one life defining fight on his resume other than Carl Froch, and that is now muted and it wasn't billed as a life-defining fight because no one respected Froch for being as good as he was. Even though Froch beat the snot out of Taylor, Taylor was expected to win and in reprisal should have gotten more press-push than it did.

Ward needs a life-defining fight with Stevenson, Kovalev or GGG. No one else at this point and time matters. No one!

Braehmer is nothing special so there is nothing he can do to be anything special. It is not easy to be a great fighter, they are rare and are appreciated. Let him earn his money in peace.

Corrales and Castillo were well established without Mayweather, their fight still would have been what it was, and they were much much better fighters than Braehmer. He is not not quite good enough to be a great adversary to anyone, you're just being dramatic about nothing, as usual.

I'm not being dramatic. I feel he can put up a good show for someone who is someone. It's not as much about the money aspect, but you live to fight THE FIGHT!

Everyone in their division should seek to fight "The Man", or one of the men. Stevenson and Kovalev are the men in his division! Ward is the man slightly below, but The Man in many respects.

I can't stand guys with better than average talent, sweeping through without mixing it up with the great ones. Imagine if Kov had that attitude?!
