its crazy that he is talking about that date for the fight anyway, everyone involved in boxing should be working towards the greater good, getting as many people to watch as many fights as possible.

He thinks putting AJ on the same night as Tyson Fury v Klit is clever, its just fucking ridiculous

In fairness, the first Fury-Klitschko fight was SO bad that it might serve Joshua to be on the same night, for some contrast? Malik Scott is a shit opponent I agree though. He has the kind of style and physicality that might trouble AJ if he were less shit, but this is a waste of a fight.

Yep agree. What he should do if its going to be AJ v Scott is put it on Friday night on normal sky TV. No PPV. Get as many people watching boxing that weekend as possible.

If they're hoping to male a comparison by chasing wilders previous opponents and put Scott with more than a grazing shot, it makes a small statement but not much. I'd prefer him going after someone like arreola, that it looks like Wilder stepped around.
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

Saw on Twitter that Scott said he had a contract to fight Joshua if he won last night. Don't know what to make of it, he isn't in the top 15 with the IBF. I think he's only ranked with the WBO.

Hearn was just gloating that they can blast Fury-Klit out the park now that AJ is "world" champ. Which is true. That's why Sky gave the rematch the elbow

To be fair there isn't too many realistic opponents that could stand up to joshua right now I think.. There is certainly worse than malik scott out there.. I would prefer he takes on the winner of chisora pulev or maybe Duhaupass.. Duhaupass would be the best opponent to give him rounds and a good test I think.

This is how I see it. Malik Scott is nowhere in the IBF rankings, so f he is AJ's next fight, it's probably a voluntary. Not unlike Sky/Matchroom did with Brook fighting Gavin. Obviously yet another piss take, and if they make it PPV at Wembley like they've been hinting , fans should vote with their wallets , especially in light of the other fight on Box Nation on the same night.
If he has to fight a mandatory , then surely the IBF should make him fight the Takam/Parker winner within 90 days, as they are next in line in their rankings. Failing that the next 2 in the rankings are Chisora and Pulev, so the winner fights AJ. I don't know how bad Glazkov's Knee injury is, but there is another possibility as he was unlucky to lose his shot in that manner.
My real worry isn't so much that he fights Scott, it's that he keeps fighting stiffs and Sky/Matchroom keep conning the public.

Scott would still need to be in the IBFs rankings to be a voluntary.

Its all gone as I said, Nothing to do with boxing we will now have ten years of controlling shit alphabet fighters, same as the Russians did, its a problem because some of the brits are actually pretty good! Nothing to do with boxing, more with setting up TV shows and betting opportunities for brain dead,

    Forget Scott!

AJ needs to fight someone who will go rounds with him.

    Arreleo is a good shout.

Stiverne will take AJ the distance.

Agree completely with those two fighters as choices to help him grow and gain credibility as THE champion eventually.

Scott is an ok, passable choice for a voluntary defense. Once.

I don't think Arreola or Stiverne are any more credible than Malik Scott is right now, or any more likely to ask any serious questions of AJ, honestly. I understand the Wilder fight makes Scott look useless and AJ looks more than capable of doing him in the same style, but where does this idea that Arreola is still a good fighter come from? He would be a heavy bag for Joshua at best.
