The Ryder Cup 2016

I am a bit of a golf fan, but this year's Ryder Cup is up in Hazeltine in Minnesota, and while we are towards the end of the morning session, I have to say I've been really impressed with the American fans. They are so loud, they have to be giving that team the proverbial "extra man". Looks like the USA will go to the end of the session at 3-1 up too, with some really good performances.

Looking forward to a great weekend of golf.

Pish. Although I must admit I'm not a particularly talented golfer. I once made a 73....on a nine hole pitch and putt course.

I saw that a guys shot went into someones pocket, that's kind of funny and probably about as exciting a moment as you could imagine in the game. I don't care about the "class" aspect of it, if anything that should comfort people. You can be rich and powerful as can be, yet still boring and lost enough to spend your days whacking a little ball around and walking after it.

I wouldn't mind watching golf if they stopped counting swings and just made it a race to see who could get the ball in the hole first, then it would actually be a sport at least.

It is quite fun with the US fans acting like hooligans and trying to put off the European team. The cheating USA will win this cup.

I enjoy it. I was following it all last night whilst watching the boxing. That 4 foot put Westwood bottled to get a half was classic. I'd love Europe to comeback to stick one up that crowd

I like golf, but don't get too much behind the team concept. A team is a group of people with different functions that gets together to accomplish a common goal, win. Soccer is a team sport. Basketball is a team sport. American football is a team sport. Hockey is a team sport. Golf is an individual sport. By that logic, I'm not too much into the Davis Cup either.
