The rich should be paying 90% in tax and be forced into exile if they don't. They have got away with it for too long and under Trump will continue to get away with it. Not it isn't. It is how liberal democracies of the 20th century typically functioned. You taxed the rich so that everyone had a better chance and for a long time it worked very, very well. It came unstuck when the neo liberal brigage with its ideological ring master Milton Friedman came along with the crazy idea that if you stopped taxing the rich, deregulated markets and took away unions and labour rights, then things would magically be better for all. You know what? That has failed miserably and Donald Trump wants to continue it.

If you want a neo liberal society, then you are welcome to it, but you will drown and don't say I didn't tell you so. You need to hold the elite accountable and that is to tax them. Not only are they avoiding tax, but they are still making government policy for themselves and to bring everybody else down. Donald Trump with his selections so far is enabling it. If you are working hard doing 3 jobs, then I doubt you would be among the super rich. Why should they be able to avoid even paying their low tax rate through clever accounting and off shore tax havens? If you have been able to make a lot of money in banking for instance which is legalised criminality, then you should pay back a lot of that. If you have made a fortune borrowing money from the central banks at low interest rates and are getting bigger returns by investing, then you really should be paying your share of taxes. It goes on and on. The super rich are beyond all law and they should be brought back under control.

Why would you make excuses for that? Your country has terrible roads, run down transport systems, ghettos, a declining middle class, 3rd world poverty and you are making arguments to perpetuate a system that created such misery? It makes no sense. If that's what you want then fine, but it looks a bit daft. America has become a banana republic because the rich pay so little yet control the entire system.
