Default Gervonta davis and Brandon Rios

Guys, I guess you know where I'm going with the title of this thread.

Davis is an awesome talent and has a great future ahead of him.

Rios has had a great career and is now at the tail end of it.

What concerns me is that do you think Gervonta is a tad punch drunk at this early age or it that just the way he talks..Rios likes taking punishment and it's very obvious that it's had a massive effect on him.

At what point does someone step in and say they need to get checked out or something..

If they are medically fit to fight then they should be allowed to earn a living. Trainer, manager, family and friends can influence the fighter to consider retiring but the final decision will lay with the fighter.

Davis does not sound punch drunk whatsoever. He just sounds (how do I put this nicely?) Very ghetto. I've heard tons of people talk like him who are just normal people (meaning not boxers).

Sounds like random kid or fighter you'd hear in anytown USA to be honest. Difference is we actually watched Rios become a slurring crash-test-dummy who ate punches at the rate of a fat kid eating Cheetos. Davis is bit sloppy but explosive, maybe Floyd is over doing it at 22 but he has zero to do with Rios.

    Disagree.

There is something wrong..I really believe that..let's see how this plays out but I feel it won't get any better.

You could be right. Give me evidence though that he used to speak more clearly before. If you do, I will be more inclined to believe you. He definitely doesn't seem to be a fighter who just gets hit all the time. Brandon Rios is an all out brawler. Davis is not.
