After getting a grilling in the corner McDonnell had probably his best round. Vargas fought him on even terms for the round tho.

To be fair, the way McDonnell finished, plus the crowd support, i'd have been more surprised if at least one judge didn't have it silly-close.
McDonnell was all over him down the stretch. 116-112 is fair in my book.

Good little card tonight - was glad to see a couple of fighters pick up their wins, and Luke Campbell did look like the stand out result there. IJL had the card way off in my view, I thought three or four to Vargas was about right too.
Enjoyed the Coyle fight, while the little swing fight with Dec Whatshisface was also a good bout, with more than a hint of the bar-room brawl.
