Default Fury, Haye, Ortiz, AJ even Whyte, they ALL beat Deontay

quite possibly, the worst hw champ of all time....a real cowboy. He was outboxed by someone who started boxing yesterday, his power came to the rescue as usual. However his power won't be enough to save him when he steps up and fights actual boxers.

Wilder is very flawed and incomplete, but he is fun. He goes all out with the bombs, which makes his fights quite exciting.

I think I can name a few worse boxers who held heavyweight 'titles' .... Charles Martin, Bruce Seldon, John Ruiz, Francesco Damiani and Henry Akinwande were all worse. Wilder would also have crushed the much smaller Roy Jones Jr too.

Wilder is not a great boxer , we keep saying it , we keep thinking he will fail , but he keeps winning.
Without his power he is nothing at all , but with the power he has a chance against anyone.

Can we REALLY call Francesco Damiani a World Champ?

Is the hype for Wilder in the US anything like what we get for AJ over here?

US must be embarrassed having Wilder as their champion.

Everyone keeps saying Wilder has a punchers chance but he is so wild with his punches that any good heavyweight should easily avoid his big punches.

Stiverne is the only decent fighter he has fought and Stiverne went the distance.

I watched the Brezeale fight, and thought he was laughably bad. Terrible balance, rubbish technique and big floppy man boobs. He beat that Nigerian polish bloke because he was just much bigger.

The WBC have him as the 12th best heavyweight in the world.

no wonder people think Deontay and AJ are the second coming of Joe Louis.

Also, back on the subject of Wilder, I recall another heavyweight champ who had poor technique, awful balance, hadn't fought anybody good, always got cut, was too small etc .... and Rocky Marciano didn't end up doing too badly.

I will give Wilder credit, he has efficiently banged out 37 of 38 people. That's impressive in anybody's book!

Love Joshua, but as of now, Wilder has defeated the better competition.Anthony Joshua has not beaten anybody as good as Stiverne or a shop worn Arreola. Now if and when Joshua beats Wlad then it'll be a different story.

Wilder could potentially lose to anyone in the top 20 but his power is an awesome equalizer. As long as he can still throw he's in with a chance against anyone. I'd prefer him to unify next instead of fighting Stiverne again. The winner of Briggs-Oquendo is his best option at this stage in my opinion.

Through a quirk of history, Marciano's victims were all around 40 years old! No disrespect, you can only fight contenders, Wilder will not have the same luck.

@Batman there is quite alot of hype here about The Atomic Windmill --- he's like a Michael Grant, he will be smoked and ~SMOKED GOOD~

I wouldnty doubt Stiverne really DID have a problem last fight and may go at him and smoke him in 2.

The inactive Stiverne who got put down by a nice Derric Rossy right has very little chance.

Hang on a minute, How was Damiani worse than Wilder? He got robbed out of a Gold Medal against Tyrell Biggs and he then avenged that in the pros. Biggs gave Lennox Lewis a hiding before robbing Damiani in the final as well. He also beat Greg Page. Who has Wilder beat that is better than Tyrell Biggs or Greg Page.
