Default Robert Easter vs Denis Shafikov on Bounce TV.

Walked into this late but it's a helluva title defense and main event. I've come to like Easter in just a few fights. Great frame and good approach. Card also has return of Julian Williams from his first defeat taking on Joshua Conley.

At the moment undefeated welters Ivan Golub and Jamontay Clark are taking turns knocking each other around the ring in the 7th of an 8 rounder. Golub has had him in bad trouble twice and looks to be ahead. But oh btw this is Clarks hometown

Never really noticed Trout on the mic but is a pretty cool customer.

Clark almost takes Golub over the top rope Ultimate warrior style in the 8th. Scores in at 79-73...77-75x2...Clark! Only saw half but 79-73 criminal, absolutely asinine and his hometown crowd is greeting it with booooos.

Julian Williams on the hunt in 1st in first fight at 160 I believe. Conley gives the impression he'd rather be sitting ringside.

Solid body work by Williams in 2nd. Well timed uppercuts catching Conley coming in also. Starting to up the pressure in 3rd. Williams may be coming off being brutally ko'd but it's Conley who is clearly gun shy. Terrible body language.

Whew, well that came just in time because I was dozing off. Conley takes a knee in 7th and gets up at 9. Williams pours it on and ends this heavy bag session as corner throws in the towel.

Talk about a size and style mash up. Easter reminds of some Junior Jones meets Hearns on the top. Shafikov sits on the end of sharp shots like this his forehead will be riveted all night.

oh look It's Broner ringside. Still needs to shave that feral cat off his face.

Shafikov good work 2nd but Easter just lancing him with stiff counters for his trouble. Up close Shafikov does look so much smaller. Easter is not unhittable laying in like this though. Gives up his jab, Shafikov giving some back end of 3rd but again the counters!

Not entirely sure what Trout is watching . Easter lays in with him whole of 4th with short clip counters. Jab at range? He doesn't blend it too well, jabs are solo and just to roll out in 5th. Kids experimenting with fire here though. Still way to accurate in close round.

Pick a style Easter. Trout has Shafikov 4-2 Look I love aggression as much as the next guy but he was tattooed for 5 clear rounds. Good start to 7th for Shaikov walking in behind punches rather than jabbing with his face here. Probably best round physical wise

Easter rolling in punches in packages in 8th. Very smart work on the back foot from multiple angles. Painting by numbers and sharpest complete work there.

Shafikov with the jabs! Easter laying in again in 9th and trading not so bright. Very sharp uppercuts. Kid has rounds that look nothing like one another . Does he have a twin in the corner? Shafikov has good spots but Easter with heavier lumber and doing what he wants when he wants to do it. 7-3 Easter at the most for me into 11th

Like Shafikov in 11th. Don't like Easters legs and laying head on Shafikov

All will and relentless digging to body last minute of 12th takes round there I think. Easter clearly tired last two rounds, still landing in between but timing it out a bit. Closer near end 7-5, 8-4 off the top Easter. Damn good scrap.

120-108 twice..116-112 Easter. No discrepancy there

Why does this kid speak exactly like Broner as he stands behind him Right up to the pauses and 'umms'. Come on man, be yourself
