    Default According to Dan Rafael.....

Rafael says Arum has told him Loma/Rigo deal is reached for December 9th at MSG Theatre.

Of course it is still wait and see but if it really gets completed it will be probably the only time we will ever see two 2 time gold medal winners face off

I have Loma on size, youth, workrate and am psyched to see the skill displayed if this indeed comes off.

Loma should win, but that's gonna be a friggin beautiful bout to watch.

Top fight from quality fighters. Rigo will not want to lose and will try to find a way to upset the form. He did it against Donaire and could do it here.

I am guessing Loma wins on size and youth. Rigo is a very smart fighter though. Probably more so than Loma. It would be crazy if Rigo pulled off the upset though. It's not out of the realm of possibility.

I'm really hoping this fight happens

It's supposed to be at 130lb from what I've read online.

It's announced Boxrec already; "scheduled bouts subject to change & commission approval", though.

Much longer reach for Rigo even though he's about 4cm shorter.

Excellent matchup. Rigo can be a bit dull to watch against overmatched opponents, but seeing him against someone else as good will be intriguing. It's a curious mesh of styles. That's one of my complaints against Mayweather really. A dull style, but when fighting the best, you can end up with intriguing contests. Seeing great skill against predictable come forward sluggers is really a waste of time for a fan. Good for his bank balance, but it provides little to the sport. Rigo wanting it and Loma fighting this level of opposition straight away is gret for the sport. A good example.

This will actually be a good fight. Lomachenko will make Rigondeaux fight and it'll be something to see.

Gotta say , when people say Rigondeaux is dull to watch, he wasn't very dull to watch last fight our while it lasted.
Admittedly he could've got DQ'd , but he certainly wasn't negative.
Loma might be a bit too big for him, but it would be a lovely fight.
