Now that the controversy is all over with and Kavanaugh is a Supreme Court Justice, all I'd say is his qualifications are unarguably solid.

However, it's sad and there's no arguing that the Court is becoming more and more politicized as time goes by.

I think it would be foolish to think Kavanaugh isn't going to carry a hidden chip on the shoulder from the very nature of his process.

Now Tito...the controversy is over, but the #Resistance is forever . Democrats are going to run on impeaching not only Trump but Kavanaugh too (they need 67 votes to do that, they're not getting that this election, not even close).

The Court has always been political to the extent that appointments are made and voted on by the party(s) in power. Kavanaugh gives an advantage to the originalists vs the interpeters/The Constitution is a living evolving document . I tend to like the originalists if for no other reason the Founding Fathers wrote the Constitution and Bill of Rights for the express purpose of LIMITING GOVERNMENT....I find that best rather than have the government meddle in EVERYTHING.

Democrats are hoping they'll stain Kavanaugh badly enough he'll have to recuse himself (or they'll call for him to recuse himself) from various cases.....it's a bitch move, they're salty about losing the election and you can tell by the amount of (lack of) bipartisan support Kavanaugh received as opposed to Kagan and Sotomayor.

If you think THIS is bad just wait til RBG kicks the bucket during Trump's terms in office....wew boy

Former FBI lawyer: Plot to record, remove Trump not a joke
    https://thehill.com/hilltv/what-amer...ump-not-a-joke
Don’t tell former FBI general counsel James Baker that those now-infamous discussions about secretly recording President Trump and using the tapes to remove him from office were a joke.

He apparently doesn’t believe it. And he held quite the vantage point — he was on the inside of the bureau’s leadership in May 2017, when the discussions occurred.

Baker told Congress last week that his boss — then-acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe — was dead serious about the idea of surreptitiously recording the 45th president and using the evidence to make the case that Trump should be removed from office, according to my sources.

Baker told lawmakers he wasn’t in the meeting McCabe had with Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein in which the subject came up. But he did have firsthand conversations with McCabe and the FBI lawyer assigned to McCabe, Lisa Page, about the issue.

“As far as Baker was concerned, this was a real plan being discussed,” said a source directly familiar with the congressional investigation. “It was no laughing matter for the FBI.”

Word of Baker’s testimony surfaced just days before Rosenstein was set to be interviewed in private on Thursday by House Judiciary Committee lawmakers.

Since The New York Times first reported the allegations, Rosenstein, the No. 2 Department of Justice (DOJ) official, has tried to downplay his role in them. His office has suggested that he thought the discussions were a joke, that Rosenstein never gave an order to carry out such a plot, and that he does not believe Trump should be removed from office.

But making those statements through a spokesperson is a bit different than having Rosenstein himself face Congress and answer the questions under penalty of felony if lawmakers think he is lying.

Baker’s account to lawmakers this month clearly complicates an already complicated picture for Rosenstein before Congress, assuming he shows up for Thursday’s interview.

Well Thursday should be fun......providing Rosenstein shows up and answers questions.

This hasn't made big news, but reading it I think it deserves a bit of a look......

123 missing kids recovered in Michigan during one-day operation
    https://kdvr.com/2018/10/09/123-miss...day-operation/
WAYNE COUNTY, Mich. — A one-day sweep by law enforcement agencies in Michigan resulted in the recovery of 123 missing children, the U.S. Marshals Service said.

The sweep, called Operation MISafeKid and conducted on Sept. 26, and was aimed at locating victims of sex trafficking.

“Three cases were identified as being possible sex trafficking cases, and one homeless teen was transported back to the command post after it was discovered that he had not had anything to eat in three days,” the U.S. Marshals Service said in a news release.

“He was then debriefed and turned over to Child Protective Services for aftercare.”

During the one-day operation, out of 301 case files, 123 children were identified and recovered safely.

The U.S. Marshals Service did not elaborate on where the children were located.

The big winner of the Trump-Kim summit? China.
    https://www.vox.com/world/2018/6/13/...ilitary-drills

The author of this article wrote it while on a trip to China sponsored by the China-United States Exchange Foundation (CUSEF), a privately funded nonprofit organization based in Hong Kong that is dedicated to “facilitating open and constructive exchange among policy-makers, business leaders, academics, think-tanks, cultural figures, and educators from the United States and China.” Vox.com’s reporting, as always, is independent.

The CUSEF is run by the Chinese government to spread pro-Chinese pro-Communist propaganda (the Washington Post [another lefty rag] said that)...and Vox is willingly giving them a platform....so you know if anyone on here enjoys Vox maybe they should know that.

Also Ezra "Soybean" Klein ran the JournoList which was a little bubble of lefties who had a club where no conservatives or OTHER THINKERS were allowed.....so when people like Vox that's the kind of folks they support. Communists, thought police, safe space seeking weaklings.

    Also Vox...

A CNN panel hosted by anchor Don Lemon took turns lacing into Kanye West on Tuesday evening, joking that his embrace of President Donald Trump has caused him to be tokenized. Several referred to him using the term “negro.”

“He’s an attention whore, like the president. He’s all of a sudden now the model spokesperson. He’s the token negro of the Trump administration,” said CNN contributor Tara Setmeyer.

“This is ridiculous and no one should be taking Kanye West seriously. He clearly has issues. He’s already been hospitalized,” she continued. “Not to trivialize mental health issues, [but] obviously Kanye has taken a turn in a very strange way.”

Another guest, former Congressman Bakari Sellers, also hit Kanye using much of the same language.

“Kanye West is what happens when negroes don’t read,” said Sellers. “And we have this now and now Donald Trump is going to use it and pervert and he’s going to have someone who can stand with him and take pictures.”

You know what's going to be interesting is comparing the damage of Hurricane Florence and Hurricane Michael's impact on North Carolina and the damage done to Charlotte by these unhinged protesters.

"It's not a mob"......it's a fucking mob, it's a mob of blue haired idiots who are more a danger to themselves than anyone else...because participation trophies and pumping up their self esteem has them using an alligator sized mouth when they have a hummingbird sized ass.

Eric Holder: "Michelle [Obama] always says, 'When they go low, we go high.' No. No. When they go low, we kick them."

FORMER ATTORNEY GENERAL OF THE UNITED STATES

Hmmm doesn't seem to have the demeanor to be AG

BUT maybe, just maybe Eric Holder didn't mean that mobs of Democrats should *literally* kick people they disagree with. Maybe he just meant they should send ricin in the mail or shoot up softball games.
