My wife, who considers herself pretty liberal.....she voted for Hillary.....she said Biden's repeating of the "very fine people" LIE makes her want to vote Trump.

Trump has condemned white supremacy FAAAAAAR more times than Biden has condemned Antifa and considering it's Antifa doing the rioting, I'd say ol' Basement Joe needs to get to condemning.

    "But Trump won't condemn!!!!!"

The media is attempting to tie Donald Trump to white supremacy by constantly asking him about it. David Duke is supporting Biden this go around has anyone heard of that endorsement? Has Biden denounced him? Biden gave the fucking eulogy for Robert Byrd so I don't want to hear or read shit about Trump and white supremacists, Trump never eulogized one, never called one "a friend" either, Biden did.

Also did no one at all find it interesting or worth noting that Biden was asked directly about packing the SCOTUS & ending the filibuster and he refused to answer?

Or did nobody care since the lying crooked ass newsmedia didn't tell them to pay attention to that?

Trump.could have this election won handily if he'd just acquiesce/be more cooperative, regardless of Bidens hypocrisies which are glaring and painfully obvious.

Just denounce it, even if you already have, make it easy, just do it sincerely each and every time they ask. It's so easy. It's what the public needs to hear. He complains about bad press, but HE'S THE ONE who uses the weak excuse that he already denounced in the past....IN THE PAST.....but now we are on the debate stage and we are not in the past we are in THE PRESENT TENSE, SO IT WOULD NOT HURT TO DENOUNCE IT AGAIN, it's not going to kill him but he won't quite give the clear unambiguous answer.

he has a lot of enemies in the press and has gone through a lot of hell but I believe that he is his own worst enemy.

Trump's only hope is to continue to put words in Biden's mouth and pin the most extreme leftist proposals on him, whether Biden actually believes them or not.

Unfortunately for the country, Biden is not young and energetic... he's not quick to turn Trump's lying and inflammatory rhetoric against him... he stumbles too much which of course will be seen as a weakness.

It doesn't matter WHAT Biden actually thinks about LAW and ORDER, and whether or not he'd actually go all out for "defunding the police" (he wouldn't ).

THAT is Trump's narrative and you'll have to pry it from his "cold, dead hands" if you want him to stop parroting it.

He says it enough... people will believe it.

That's the problem with the Democrats vs the Republicans.

There's only one set of Republicans. There are two sides of Democrats, which are readily used and played against one another. Trump knows this.... he'll pile-drive it into the ground with Biden.

Biden, unfortunately, will get shook up..... will stammer his responses... and in the end it won't matter ONE DAMN BIT what he would actually do in office. People will just assume that Biden is just a less aggressive version of Bernie Sanders and his Socialist views.

This shit is so predictable it's funny.

Oh so victim blaming is what you're going with. Interesting. And Trump should have been cooperative? If he cooperated he'd be out of office altogether.

To think you used to listen to Alex Jones and you're saying "Yeah oh totally, he should cooperate".....Brockton, do you cooperate with your enemies when they are attempting to undermine you? Unless you're setting a trap for them, NO, you don't cooperate with people who don't have your best interests in mind.

Trump is putting words in Biden's mouth? Not how I see it, Trump is asking Biden if Biden is the mainstream centralist Democrat he claims he has always been OR if he's the far left candidate that the Bernie voters want. I don't see how that is against the rules or troubling to ask about. Biden can't be both, he's selling a bill of goods to SOMEBODY who is supporting him.

Plus politically it cuts the legs right out from under Biden. Biden would do the same with Trump if Trump had such a vulnerable chasm in his base.

Kabong... how can you say "Trump is asking Biden"?? Trump isn't asking Biden anything. The way I saw it, Trump was piledriving the radical left beliefs into Biden saying that's what Biden believes... and then turning a deaf ear on Biden's denials. That's a hell of a lot different than "asking him."

Why must we assume that Biden's going to play both sides of the fence? He's a fool if he does. He already won the nomination. His target now is Trump. If he plays into Trump's very capable and devious hands by trying to appease both sides he'll lose worse than any Presidential candidate in recent history.

Biden's a moderate. His message ought to be one of unification, including with those extreme leftists who really don't stand a snowball's chance in hell of getting their radical agendas pushed through.

Trump creating a wedge issue isn't against the rules. Trump taking advantage of Biden & the Democrats having painted themselves into a corner isn't "Trump being a bully". If the Democrats were proud of their plans they'd have no reason to hide it...not answering if you're going to pack the SCOTUS or defund the police or do Medicare for all....those are issues voters would like to know your stance on. I mean, not me, I'm already voting Trump, but other voters might like something more than a wink and a nod.

We don't have to assume Biden is playing both sides of the fence, Trump saw an angle to create a wedge issue for Biden's base and he attacked it. This is like a boxing match and one guy is getting punched in the face and the other fighter is complaining about it...it's a debate, prepare to defend your views.

Biden may very well be a moderate, but his being elected depends largely upon the far left backing him. Remember BERNIE was the guy with the momentum and the crowds, not Joe. BERNIE was that guy and not Hillary last time. BERNIE's voters are the mobilized masses. If Biden doesn't appease them even by offering lip service then he's going to lose them. If Biden appeases those far lefties he'll lose the center. Trump played him perfectly, albeit next time he needs to allow Biden to trip on his own words more

Biden's been very clear about his stance on "Medicare for all". Those views were put forth during the Democratic candidate debates. Those who didn't get the message is because they didn't want to hear. Biden has ALWAYS championed the moderate stance of allowing those who want to retain their private medical plan to be able to do so. The Green New Deal is AOC's baby... not Biden's. That to me is common sense. "Defunding the police" is the catchphrase being clutched desperately by Trump and his backers in a desperate effort to paint Biden with THEIR paintbrush. To hell with the truth. Let's slander our way to the Presidency.

A debate is certainly NOT like a boxing match. In a boxing match you don't have to wait two minutes while your opponent punches you at will... and then it's your turn. What a misguided analogy that is!!!

That's the whole problem with Trump and his legions. Everything is "Oh, he's a New Yorker. He can say fuck you to the press and his opponents and we'll just cheer him on... 'cause New Yorkers are tough and can't be bothered with class and civility." How horribly, horribly sad.

And about Biden's support among the extreme left.

This is MY opinion...... If extreme leftists would rather Trump be in the White House another 4 years because "Oh golly... gee whiz... Joe isn't a Socialist like Bernie"......... then they fucking deserve whatever they get and need to kindly stow it for the next four unbearable years.

Biden has said "you can't enact Medicare for all without raising everyone's taxes" and he's likewise said he's going to raise peoples' taxes.

And it's not so much ONLY what Biden is saying it's what people like AOC, Jayapal, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, etc say they're going to do. While Joe is out saying he's going to do this that and the third, those broads are out saying "He's malleable, we're going to push him more to the left" ......IF Joe is a 1 term President (if that even) then those broads will hold more power over his term in office one would think.

Then it becomes very important what Kamala Harris thinks....and what does she think?

(from far left The Young Turks)

    And the Green New Deal?

Sounds like she's in favor of both of those things and IF (big if) Biden is a 1 term guy (if that) then we can see where his administration is heading already.

As for "defund the police"....why is it a catchphrase? I mean I'm told Antifa just means Anti-Fascist which makes it super double plus good. But there's all of a sudden nuance to the phrase "defund the police"? And note, this isn't an argument with YOU Titofan, it's more of an argument with how the left argues things, but you get where my issue is right?

Antifa = Anti-Fascists and that's an "idea" vs an organization but "defund the police" =/= don't give money to the police or abolish the police (until it DOES mean that and that all depends on who you ask and who they believe their audience is).

(also if the simplest take/easiest take was the best then wouldn't the Proud Boys just be people who identify as Boys and are Proud? And wouldn't they be an "idea" and not an organization as well? Seems like a double standard to me. Seems like "Oh we don't comprehend nuance until it favors our political stance" and to me that's like playing Monopoly with an 8 year old who is well out of their depth and is losing so badly they wish to change the rules of the game....and again, that's not YOU, that's the left. I feel as though that is very important to get across because I actually respect you and your views on things even when we disagree and I can't say the same for some other people on here. So I do not wish to come across as if I'm insulting you.)

in a 12 round fight, if all the punches are missed or blocked, and only ONE jab gets in, then that fighter has won it with the jab.

this right here, this jab, is what gave Trump the "win", as he forced Biden's hand and yes he has now alienated AOC +3 etc....

In the 2012 VP debate, Biden interrupted Paul Ryan 82 times, made faces the entire time, and dropped a steady stream of insults on Ryan. The media LOVED it. In 2020, he came out and tried to use the same tactic on Trump.

Trump OWNED and he'll own again.

Shat show dumpster fire doesn't begin to describe that thing we witnessed. You knew right off Trump would look to blow it up and true to script it was like a guy walking in breaking plates in the bottom of a steel trash can and jostle Biden into some more quirky counter rambling 30 second clips, he had no want to talk policy. Frankly never has. I think Biden did well all things considered. Whats really been lost as far as the failure to directly and unequivocally condemn white supremacy is that it has fook all to do with the peanut gallery proud boys in their one size to small polo shirts. Trump is a grown man ffs, he doesn't need his hand held like a child and have things spelled out to him....he was asked a direct question about condemning white supremacy...instead of answering and doing what should be instinct and right he first deflected to whataboutism and antifa. Then asked again he played dumb with 'what do you you call them, wha wha' and then the Goons of Hazard came up. Stand back and stand by, wtf is that. Let's stop playing games. If you need to be walked and coddled in the condemnation and addressing racist groups, ideologies and or actions well then it's just not in you in the first place. I believe thats abundantly clear by now. I was far more interested in hearing Trump answer about his exact plan for health care but after 3+ years of plan who are we kidding.

And while we're at it 'get out of your bunker and sand traps and get in the game' looks better on a T shirt than 'will you shut up man'.

Or 'you wouldn't know the suburbs unless you made a wrong turn' . Pretty witty for an old geezer supposedly looking for his car keys in the refrigerator

Angry one? No, the dumb one, the not firing on all cylinders one, the idiot one. In the article which AOC is citing (the article you conveniently left out. Why would you leave it out?) there's a few things not mentioned by that dope AOC and maybe you yourself were unaware of them. I'd actually be quite shocked if you knew the information and were smart enough to attempt to bury it knowing it wouldn't help your case if anyone else caught on....that would take some smarts, but it's you posting that shit so I can safely assume you were just too lazy to look it up and you were gullible enough to take AOC's word for it.

In the very first paragraph of the New York Times article it says "Donald Trump paid $750 in federal income taxes the year he won the presidency"....faaaaaaar down in the meat of the article it says and I quote VERBATIM"Each time he(Donald Trump) requested an extension to file his 1040; and each time he made the required payment to the I.R.S. for income taxes he might owe --- $1 million for 2016 and $4.2 million for 2017. But virtually all of that liability was washed away when he eventually filed, and most of the payments were rolled forward to cover potential taxes in future years."

And what of the journalists who produced that NYT hit piece? They stated "we are not making the records themselves public" ......so no showing of their work at all.

Beanz is $750 = to $ 1 million? Is $750 = to $4.2 million? If I had a pile of $750 and a pile of $1 million and a pile of $4.2 million which one would you most want?

Going to claim ignorance or laziness? I'm genuinely curious.
