Here's the thing when the talk of "mass deportations" and sending the US Military into streets and businesses...he wants the protests. The man is counting on the resulting chaos and guaranteed protests. The divisions and culture war horseshit must be maintained and thrived on and that's the plan. The swamp has turned into a cesspool and will continue to deepen under Trump. He's lost the plot nominating a coked out pedo spaz in Gaetz. Gaetz "retires" from Congress 24 hours before the findings of the long ongoing ethics committee investigations findings were to be released on Friday. And of course, the first statement from the House speaker is that they cannot release information on mere citizens ie Gaetz. Political cesspool churning 101.

Agree. But see, here's the thing. I blame the voting public of the United States. They had 4 years of Trump to find out who the guy is, and how he operates... and what kind of mentality he has. Yet they voted him in overwhelmingly. Now... every complaint about Trump is met with TDS claims from gleeful MAGA cultists. This was all preordained, it seems. The seeds of irreversible division were sown (skillfully, I might add) by Trump long ago. He's never ONCE talked about wanting unity in any of his rah-rah, 5th grade vocabulary level speeches. Yes... THAT'S the plan. To divide and conquer. Too bad the bulk of the American public has fallen for his bullshit.

I've gone on social media saying I truly wish everyone the best. HOPEFULLY (not holding my breath on this one)... there will be some sort of system of checks and balances before Trump turns the whole country into a defacto dictatorship, while his millions and millions of Minions jump up and down with joy. Gaetz... RFK Jr.... Trump is just getting warmed up. Just wait until he finds a suitable spot for Marjorie Taylor Greene (aka: Horse Face). She'll be installed where she can do the most damage, piss off the most people, and perpetuate the deep and irreversible divisions in the country.

The rest of the world is simultaneously laughing it's ass off, while getting more than a bit nervous with that FUKKING CLOWN at the helm.

    But yeah..... TDS.

    But yeah..... TDS.

They didn't vote for him overwhelmingly. The last three elections it's come down to a fraction of one percent of the vote in three states.

If 120000 voters out of eighteen million had switched from Trump to Harris then Harris would have won.

If 30000 had switched from Biden to Trump then Trump would have won.

40000 Trump to Hillary then Hillary would have won.

Trump won the popular vote but still got less than fifty percent of the total vote. Hillary won the popular vote by a bigger margin than Trump and got over fifty percent of the national vote.

Both sides have their voting base who vote for them. There are swing voters who can go either way. A significant chunk of swing voters pay no attention at all to politics. You know how little? One of the biggest google searches on election day was "has Biden dropped out?" or versions of that question.

By far the biggest issue with voters in this election was inflation/cost of living. A significant chunk of floating voters voted for Trump because he's a genius businessman who understands the economy and has promised to bring prices down to 2020 levels. That's why they voted for him and that's the biggest thing that decided the election.

But less than one percent of the vote in three states? Loads of things would have made that difference. If Hamas hadn't attacked Israel for instance. Jesus, one percent of voters probably voted form Trump because they got cheques with his name on them last time he was in office and maybe if they vote for him and he wins they get another cheque to help combat inflation.

Turns out "government overreach" is making airlines put all the hidden extras in the upfront cost of a ticket so customers can't get ripped off anymore. Trump has apparently agreed to scrap this burdensome regulation which is confusing consumers.

The only thing people seem to know about judges in America is abortion. Most of what they do, and ninety percent of what the Supreme Court does, is rule on economic issues. And conservative judges routinely/always rule for big business over people. It's a shame the media didn't cover stuff like this instead of the culture war shit and maybe then there'd be a bigger percentage of informed voters. But it doesn't get ratings and the culture war stuff does.

He won more electoral votes than G.W. Bush, in either of his elections... than Biden in 2020... than Carter in 1976... and Nixon in 1968. He beat his own tally of 304, back in 2016 (when, it should be added... he was a relative unknown commodity, and a "welcome" relief from "typical politicians). So maybe overwhelming is a relative term.

The fact remains... a majority of Americans saw fit to elect a total CLOWN to the Presidency once again. For whatever reason. The economy? Well... Probably over 90% of the general population has no clue how a national economy works. They see a loaf of bread that costs $0.50 more than it did a year ago... the economy is shit. MAGA fans mostly think the U.S. economy did an immediate 180 after Trump was elected the first time. They have no notion of how changes really occur. Maybe you, and other people who have studied finance know. But the average Joe on the street doesn't have a clue. Economic indicators? Might as well be Chinese to most people.

I can't give the U.S. public a pass on this one. Because, inflation... immigration... foreign affairs... environmental issues aside...

The U.S. chose to elect the MOST DIVISIVE President that has ever existed... and he is head and shoulders above anyone else in that regard.

One thing is having divisions based on opinions on policies and issues. Another is making it about personalities, one-liners, and insults. Inciting hatred.

Politicians normally at least give lip service to unity. Trump openly encourages and revels in deep divisions and hate.

    Divide and conquer.

politics it's a belief system based on dividing people on the myth that some people have the right to rule over others. politicians might give lip service but they mean to govern/ rule & have authority over you. if you want to vote for someone to rule over you that is your choice but you are also wanting that person to rule over others & that is immoral. you are correct when you say divide & conquer

I don't know quite how to break this to you, but...

If you went to school, and followed their rules... people ruled over you.

If you served in the military... people ruled over you.

If you work at a company and have a boss... people rule over you.

If you drive, observing speed limits and other such rules... people rule over you.

A government is nothing more than a body of people, hopefully elected by a majority of the people, and hopefully qualified to enact and enforce laws... who do just that.

Otherwise, it's just a society full of people running around doing whatever the hell they want, whenever they want, however they want. I believe it's called ANARCHY.

    Now... having dispensed with that...

I'll reiterate my original point, that Trump is the most DIVISIVE President in the history of the universe.

no one said anything about no rules. i don't want a ruler & i don't want someone to rule over you. i have my own rules that i follow, don't use violence unless to protect myself or others, don't steal, don't rape, stuff like that

men can't make laws for other men to follow. if you believe that then that means you believe someone else has a higher claim over your life & property than you

government is a group of people who reserve for themselves the right to do something that you can’t do by yourself and you are obligated to obey them, if you don’t obey them then they will use force, up to and including death to bring you to heel

if you need someone to make laws for you to stop you from going out & killing, stealing, raping et cetera then you have to look internally & ask yourself why you would do these things without laws telling you not to

@TitoFan do you believe it's right for one person to rule over another person?

    Nice try.

I believe it's right, and wise, for a government to rule over a society of people who would otherwise trample over other people's rights based on biases, ignorance, and all sorts of societal ills.
