Well Nancy Pelosi has packed a House Bill for the Coronavirus so full of pork that even democrats are balking at it.

$33,200,000 for NOAA (National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration)
$100,000,000 for NASA and $100,000,000 for “Construction and Environmental Compliance”
$602,000,000 for the IRS. $278,000,000 directly for the IRS & $324,000,000 for “Operations Support”
$35,000,000 for the JFK performing arts center
    $90,000,000 for an HIV program
$36,000,000 for National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences
$7,000,000 for one specific DC charter school, Gallaudet University
Howard University gets $23,000,000 (fyi Howard’s Endowment: $647,000,000)
$300,000,000 for the Corporation for public broadcasting
$500,000,000 for the Institute of Museum and Library Services
$1,000,000 for the Sergeant at Arms and Doorkeeper of the Senate
$300,000,000 for “Migration and Refugee Assistance”

Well.....anyone care to say a bit about Democrat leadership?

For any world leader I can’t imagine having a crisis like this pop up. Things were going well for a decent amount of people and then this comes along. What a massive kick in the balls to the world. Whatever happens in the next few months is going to have a long impact on the world. This isn’t a localized tornado where you see the pics on the tube and think poor bastards this is the new age shit. Not saying the world has not dealt with this shit just most of us haven’t. Interesting times. Imagine sitting on a countries throne and have this pop up? Shit I might just hand it off to the VP and say later good luck everyone. I guess that’s why I’ll never be elected

Now is not the time to make excuses for leaders who at the very least should listen to scientific advice and then set an example. Boris boasting about shaking hands with corona virus patients and now Trump ignoring social distancing advice and then handing out pens to everyone present.

    Insane.

I think it’s hard to compare an Oval Office signing where everyone has been checked for temp and contacts to a hospital ward but what do I know

You do not need to have a temperature to be infectious. It is not a compare the idiocy contest either. It is just inexcusable to say one thing and do another when the public need a very clear and unambiguous message communicated. Both sides of the Atlantic are being led by people who ignored the experts, needlessly compromised the safety of their citizens, and continue to do so. Trump is the guy who said the virus would simply 'disappear' remember? Now he is claiming to have saved millions and is taking about viewing figures as though his own popularity is of any kind of relevance. Madness.

I didn’t take it that way. He was saying if certain measures weren’t taken what could have happened. He was quite blunt about suicides, depression and addiction going up. He referenced the team he put in charge numerous times. Mistakes were made at the beginning I think too many people thought this would end up like SARS or the other crazy shit coming around. I can’t give Trump an A for the way this has been handled but at least things are being done. As far as the bill signing I really don’t see an issue with that there were no strangers in that preplanned signing and shit still has to get done.

Trump didn't take this seriously since the very beginning and now it's costing everyone. Timing in these things is of the essence and frankly, not a very good job was done.

It's also true that being a nation leader today is certainly a very hot seat to be in. Not many of us would necessarily do a better job.

At the same time it's more important now to look forward. What's done is done. Now all sorts of remediation steps need to be taken to minimize the damage, which is still on the rise.

What I find amazing is that, as bad as it looked for Trump in the very beginning of the crisis when he was fumbling the ball all over the place.... his ratings are on the rise and ironically this crisis may in the long run end up helping his image.
