Lipinets with some sharp punches mid 11th, mixing very well and leaving Kondo lurching. What seems like the very first clinch of fight end of round. Final round should be fireworks

Contrary to the judges this was not a 118-110 fight ffs. Lipinets deserved nod ebbing back strong 11 and 12th but waaaay to wide for me.

How does Stiverne get his very own rapper ring walk? Both of these guys are dressed in gold like pre cooked Walmart hams. Stiverne half asleep in pre interview

Wilder has everything to lose in this forced turd and should dust Stiverne.

How you pulverize a guy who had no intention of competing, nice 1-2 follow up left Stiverne folded like a lawn chair.

Wilder with A "juicing" J do you want to take the test .

What a fight! GSP looked like shit until he got that big punch.

I love the fact that Wilder isn't the big winner tonight. It's GSP. And he's the one who came close to killing his opponent.

A waste of time for Wilder there. It's all well and good having an easy night for a payday, but he needs more than that to fight Joshua. I think he has all the tools to do the job, but he needs be tested more. That's another 6 months done. To be fair fights have fallen through for him, but he needs a top fight and to have that chin tested and then maybe Joshua.

If Wilder had been a Kronk fighter , he would have been some fighter.
He is much more athletic at around 6'6 and 16 stone 6lbs than A.J who is 18 stone. If Wilder hits you clean , " you are in more strife than Flash Gordon ".

I agree that Wilder is very athletic, his jab was like a lightweights in there last night. Where I disagree slightly with you is your point that him training at Kronk gym would make him that much better. I feel that Breland is doing an excellent job with him, and that while Manny Steward did wonders for tall, rangy heavyweights, I'm not sure how much more he could've gotten out of Deontay.

Wilder vs Joshua is a fascinating match up. I think either has the power to hurt and/or stop the other with one shot. I also feel that Wilder is more athletic, faster, and better at improvising in the ring, where AJ is a better technical fighter. Just seeing if/how AJ is able to deal with the jab and faster feet will be interesting to me.

Agree with the above and just want to add that whilst there wasn't anything at all coming back from Stiverne last night, Wilders defense was non existent, he leaves himself far too open and he tends to put his arms up in the air when he is back pedaling leaving himself wide open, the way he hangs his chin out at times he is begging for a big puncher to test it out.

I don't see how anyone can be 100% confident of the outcome of this one, certainly a fascinating match up.

Listening to an American phone-in (TBV) - Joshua is not only terrified of Wilder but it's a borderline mismatch. Wilder will kill Joshua. Literally.

Don't anyone on this forum ever again tell me American's are not patriotic about their fighters. Seriously.

Teach AJ to effectively close the distance and smother Wilder's punchers and its over. Nothing to really gain from the Stiverne rematch except that Stiverne hasn't learned anything and Wilder wasn't in there long enough to injure himself this time. AJ can still get caught at a distance, because he will have the same problem a lot of big heavyweights have and that's getting used to being the bigger man in the ring. Wilder's game is Kinetic. He has to be moving forward to get force on his shots. So he'd fight Joshua the same he fought anyone else. Hang around the outside and try to catch Joshua and sting him with a one two or a straight right or set a trap for Joshua to Throw the right over his jab, fall short and get caught by the left. Then close in swarm and finish the job. You could see even with stiverne, that wilders accuracy suffers when he closes, because he starts flailing for an emphatic knockout. Wilders lost on the fundamentals. I don't want to say you cant get that back but its hard to correct the foundation of a house without rebuilding the rest of the house too.

If someone teaches Joshua to parry, use his legs to get under punches, and use his angles... It can be easier than most people think for Joshua to smother him. If Joshua shells up and rolls forward like a tank, he's setting himself up to be stung. I'd also say there is a decent shot of wilder injuring himself trying to door knocker/ slappy cuff Joshua.

Stivern didn't even try. He didn't look like he wanted to be in the ring. He was only there to get paid.

I wonder what the terms are for his contract with Don King. How many more fights does he own him for?

I think this will be his last fight and he will retire with what little he is left with after King makes his deductions.
