    Default Kudo's lies

Operation Sports: Will we be able to change weight classes through diet?

Kudo Tsunoda: You are able to fight in multiple weight classes during our career mode. You can change weight classes not via diet, but through training and the other physical conditioning mini-games during career mode.
That's rubbish, you are forced to move weight throughout the game, there is no choice in changing weight.

Operation Sports: Will we be able to manage a stable of fighters?

Kudo Tsunoda: Of course!! You can take multiple boxers through multiple careers in the same weight class or in multiple weight classes. You are responsible for anything from scheduling their fights to managing their training regimen.
No you can't!! you can only manage one fighter at a time. Once you finish a career and start a new one, your old fighter is deleted. They didn't have this problem with FN 2004

Operation Sports: Will there be multiple belts and will the belts be the real world titles (IBF, WBO, WBA, etc.)

Kudo Tsunoda: There are multiple belts you can win within a single weight class – a title belt, you can win the unified title belts, a Pound for Pound title belt, etc. And since you can change weight classes, you can win multiple versions of these.
Their are only 6 belts you can win. (the 3 weight class belts, amatuer, unified and pound for pound) there are no multiple versions you can win. Theres no such thing as a unified belt, you can't unify two weight divisions titles in real life. On a posivite note, they will be WBA, WBC etc in the next game though.

Operation Sports: Can you change minutes per round in career mode or have an accelerated clock?

Kudo Tsunoda: For sure! you can customize this to play however you want!
Another lie, i tried this yesterday.

Operation Sports: Will there be more statistics on the boxers, e.g., all their opponents, their records, how they won or lost each fight UD10, KO5, Draw, etc.

Kudo Tsunoda: There is a ton more information on all the fighters. Not just on their records either. Of course the record data is there. But you get a full preview of their record, all their stats, and a breakdown of their styles and how they fight.
It is exactly like the last two games, nothing got added to this at all.

Operation Sports: Will there be more ways to train this year, last year there were only a few. Did you add anything?

Kudo Tsunoda: There are many different training games but the biggest improvement has been made in our Sparring sessions. There are different training regimens you can choose from depending on who your upcoming opponent is and what their fighting style is like
There are 3 training regimens, that does not count as many!

Operation Sports: Is cut man/corner game still in this year? Has it been changed at all?

Kudo Tsunoda: This has been changed to reflect our new damage system and the controls have been tweaked to make them more user friendly than last year.
Nah, they messed it up, its completly bugged on the game.

You know how John Madden is hands on with the NFL games? Well shouldn't some boxing expert do it with this Granted it would be difficult to find an objective guy but perhaps if you had maybe a group of guys to help out: Bert Sugar, Max Kellerman, Brian Kenny, Jim Lampley, Teddy Atlas.

The things that are great with the game
    1) STYLES, great job, might add a couple more
    2) Rivalries good idea (could be improved)
    3) KO/Stun punches (EXCELLENT idea, now it needs to be improved for the button mashers like myself, I can't stand the other control setting)

Improvements (I'll try to limit it to 5 )
    1) More boxers

    2) Fix the boxers in the game, Floyd Patterson didn't look or fight like that

    3) Weight class movement/selection of fights: Yeah I can choose to fight whoever as long as he's up there. This needs to be more like Madden Football's free agency in their "franchise mode". You need a list of fighters CHAMP-10/20/30/40/50 whatever, last damn place. Then whilst in your career you look beside the guy you want to fight and if he's interested in a fight it'll have an icon there, then you have an $___ purse and you split the money just like a REAL fight and since making money is the object of the career to buy all that stuff then you're more likely to want more money to pay for everything. Of course this will add in the "Oh he's dodging me!" into the game and it will enhance the rivalry aspect.

    4) Boxers aren't hurt when they get up from knockdowns! What the hell is that all about There should be flash knockdowns and guys who get up too early, get nailed and the ref calls the fight because they aren't throwing back!

    5) Help me NOT KO everyone, KO's are hard to come by in real life, they should be hard to come by in the game!!!

    6) Fix the TRAINERS. Perhaps have a trainer that has a FIGHT PLAN that you use in regards to how your opponent fights. For example, you have your strength, speed, nothing, and heart trainers in FNRD3 well what if the power trainer said "In this fight to win we need to go to the body for the first half and stop him late" or the speed trainer said "to beat this guy we need to work off the jab and use defense"...and because of what style you have created your boxer to be you will have an easier or harder time based on your opponent's style much like in real life.

    7) Stop the fight for fuck's sake!!! When I knocked a guy down 4-5 times just go ahead and call it...I have to TRY to TKO someone just like I have to TRY to decision someone.

Hitting in the clinch/pushing off(while out of the clinch to stay out of danger)....they were in the other game where did they go?

    9) Different refs!!! Have ones that stop the fight too soon/let it go on too long and have some HOME COOKING REFS!!! Like Ottke's boy....it's REAL it's boxing.

    10) Different ratings. Have different sets (preferably just 3/4) of ratings in which you vary in where you rank and who you have to fight and for which title.

    11) Perhaps another idea you can steal from football games is the SPORTS ILLUSTRATED thing, go read who is doing what in your division and who is calling who out. (this would be a good place to put the rankings too, and I bet you 5 billion dollars RING MAGAZINE would sign up for it)
