Default ESPN fights: Ryan Garcia v Fernando Vargas

Young gun 13-0 Garcia is getting some buzz and main events for the first time tonight. Seems GBP are trying to reinvent the golden boy run. He'll fight well traveled 32-13-3 Fernando Vargas.

welters Eddie Gomez v Keandre Gibson will start things off.

Lots of posing and posturing by both. Gibson working the jab just enough, looks like he has the size also.

Great counter shot by Gomez at start on 2nd puts Gibson down hard! Totally short circuited by a fast short right and ref waves it with Gibson standing there clueless.

Gomez balling in his corner overcome with emotion. James Toney type short rifled right.

Irish Aaron McKenna vs Jose Palacious. Is this kid standing on a stool?

Palacious claims rabbit punch and works ref who says yeh whatever and waves it off . Kid looked massive compared.

Might be the shortest card in some time. Jonathan Navarro 12-0 v one 5-6 Gabriel Gutierrez next. Last win for Gutierrez was his last at 126 lbs. This is at 140.

Aaron McKenna trained by Courage Tshabalala. Is that really a good idea .

Oscar hyping up May 5th. Says May 4th card world title fight TBA..possibly David Lemieux?

Because nothing says title shot quite like being schooled in your last go.

Man they are really forcing this Garcia hype up with interviews. Kid seems a little bit kookie to be honest but fair play young man .

Oscar needs to stop dropping 'these little girls here to see him'. Garcia more stationary than I thought, bow & arrow 1-2 drops Vargas in a heap! Fight over.

doubled it up. Vargas took the first right..then leaned into 2nd straight right. Legs of Vargas folded under him badly.

We use to get these ESPN fights over here one time but they have long stopped. Shame.

I know nothing of this Fernando Vargas character, but read up on him a little and if I was the "real" Fernando Vargas I would force this dude to change his name.
    It's embarrassing.
