With the three knockdown rule they could have just waited for him to go down once more and it would have been all over anyway I suppose

I see Inoue is gonna compete in WBSS tournament. Great. Just great. He'll beat Tete

He just starched a guy who had a 14lb weight advantage

Man - I LOVE these wrecking machines from far away places who only the hardcore boxing fans know of and who have never fought out their country. The beatdown McDonnell got reminded me off the Kickboxer film with Van Damme when his brother went to Asia (Thailand i think it was) and got paralysed by Tom Po because he had no idea who he was dealing with.

I think McDonnell and his team knew exactly who and what they were dealing with, they just didn't have any answers.

Naoya Inoye is definitely in the top 5 P4P.

He's one of the 2 or 3 most impressive and exciting boxers in the world today.

Only 25 as well, he won titles in 3 division in 16 fights, 4 more than Loma, and without a loss. The opposition at 118 will build his legacy.

What a way to enter the division. Absolutely brutal. McDonnell never got back from that shot high on the head and Inoue has a special kind of overwhelming violent unpredictability in there.

Said it before and say it again, I want all the boxing I watch called by Japanese announce teams .

There is still the other wba champion in the division, it sounds good to say 3 weight world champ but he isn't really.. Yet..... Fans should ignore this nonsense belt..

Really great performance from inoue though, I guess the stoppage was slightly early but he was really damaging McDonnell, I think ref saved him from a prolonged beating... McDonnell did recover from an early knockdown v tomoki kameda and came back to win but it looks like inoue is just way above the Japanese Mexican.... I thought McDonnell looked good v kameda so for inoue to smash him in this manner is really world class, amazing!. He can throw in unexpected powerful body shots with ease, well done to him.
