100% respect to WBSS. These 2 tournaments have shaped up nicely . Some top matchups here. And I like how the seed chooses his opponent . At this early stage I’m going all out and saying Prograis v Taylor in the Final. It’s a marathon and I reckon these 2 will grow through the tournament.

I'm surprised Prograis picked Flanagan, I thought he would go for Martin.

Has the makings of a quality fight. Prograis needs to smarten up with defense but can see him taking Flanagan. Good international exposure while Taylor cancels out Martin.

late coming to these but some very good match ups.

I also think the match ups are quality. Flanagan have a good account of himself against Hooker and Prograis isn't hard to find.

I think Taylor is a level above Martin, but it's a fight between 2 young unbeaten contenders. Martin may surprise a few people, I don't think he beats Taylor bit I think he wins some decent rounds.

With frame and speed of Martin can see him keeping it close, he punches sharp. But feels just a bit early for him. Know that sounds nuts given Taylor limited starts himself. Not sure Flanagan will keep the work rate he'll need to keep Prograis off who is different make, model and mentality than Hooker. Troyanovsky may be the long shot of mix and a Belarus show down of winners would be top notch.

do you know how they are airing these? Weekly or monthly etc

If the time line is anything like the ones just finishing, the first round will probably be around Sep/ Oct, then the semi's around Jan/ Feb, then the finals about May/ Jun.

Prograis picked Flanagan? Taylor picked Martin? Weird style picks, surely? Prograis could have picked at least two fighters he would have been a much stronger favourite over than Flanagan.

These matchups look like Kalle and the boys did them. Hmm...

Nonetheless great comp. If Taylor handles travelling and the big stage/promotion he will become a P4P name by the end.

I'm disappointed they didn't want Lipnets as part of this. Lipnets instead of Martin would have been perfect.

Prograis vs Flanagan is set for Oct-27 in New Orleans.

Another WBSS fight will be added to the card.

@TitoFan I see Subriel Matias is on Oct-27 and is one of the alternates for the WBSS 140 tourney.

Wow... good find, Alpha. I hadn't seen that. Will be interested to see how Subriel continues to progress. Tough, powerful kid that one.

Apparently DAZN in the US f-cked up and didn't show the Relikh Vs Troyanovsky fight. I watched on a stream.

Very close and hard to score fight. I scored it 114-114.

Official decision was a UD for Relikh with all 3 judges scoring 115-113.

They probably had technical difficulties being on a new platform. Hopefully just teething issues.

Let's hope so, bit of a let down for those using the service.
