Default ESPN - Beltran v Pedraza ~ Dogboe v Otake

Actually a pretty good card tonight with a 9:30 pm start time. Not to jinx it but College ball is live prior so hopefully we won't see a late start. Beltran has been there-done that over his career and at times took some big hits. Some brought on himself and others during the fights. Good to see him finally defend his long overdue strap and Jose 'Sniper' Pedraza should bring the best out of him for as long as it lasts. Heart says Beltran in spectacular left hook ko, brain says Pedraza takes his pound of flesh cutting up an increasingly easy to hit Beltran who lumps up. Winner has been mentioned in the Loma opponent role but hard to see that just yet. Either way lets hope for some give and take action

Solid support has two time Japanese champ Hidenori Otake 31-2-3 coming to the States for the first time over a long respected career to challenge newly crowned Jr light champ Issac Dogboe 19-0 who is fresh off his entertaining title win in April. It'll be interesting to see if the work rate of Otake as well as knowing it's his last major title opportunity are enough to upend Dogboe who has shown he welcomes inside exchanges. Card looks set to run until midnight.

Boxing telecast is being delayed because of North Carolina A&T versus Jacksonville State?!?!

Looks like they are showing it on ESPN Deportes but stalling in studio for end of game. Cannot understand a word but at least we get weigh in vids . Football needs to stay in its lane.

Ok can I thank you again??

Fight's over already. Damn...... Dogboe hits like a dumptruck. I would've been pissed if I was still watching NC A&T trying to run out the clock.

Well that was brutal. Poor Otake just got run over by a bus named Isaac Dogboe. Left hook knocked him flat to start it and never recovered. Ref waves off a shaken Otake 2:18 of 1st. Dogboe likes to fight. That's fun.

Arum should use this 1970's start delays for the basic network home channel as selling point for espn+ .

The kid is well spoken, personable, and has highlight reel power. He called out the other junior featherweight champions. From what I saw tonight, I imagine they're not in any hurry to answer the call.
