Default ESPN Juan C. Ramirez v Antonio Orozco

This one crept on us but is a quality match up. Have to feel for Ramirez 22-0 who had his camp and big stage first defense go to waste when Danny O'Conner didn't make weight and fell ill. Instead of wallowing he took the next date with a very tough top ranked challenger Antonio Orozco 27-0. Some other trinket holders should take note, champions fight. I was a bit doubtful Orozco would even make weight as this is the same guy who was booted off HBO for coming in heavy. Good fight though and 140 is really stirring up right now. Top 3 Hiroki Okada made his U.S debut and got off the canvas to beat Cristian Rafael Coria on the card.

Jamel Herring 17-2 v 21-1 John Vincent Moralde in co main.

great..Annnnd football, looks like a delayed start to card . This is farking ridiculous for ESPN to still be giving us this problem.

Lots of promo for tomorrow night. Teddy Atlas pulling no punches calling Canelo dirty and says he's shook facing off with Golovkin but he still picks him .

Well you cannot say Herring doesn't put a crowd on his shoulder. He walks to the ring flanked by practically a platoon of Marines and young cadets. Once a Marine always a Marine they say. Coming down in weight at 32 also, interesting. This should be good.

Herring staying tall just feeling out. Moralde throws good light combos between a couple of his deliveries and looks confident. Herring really stays stationary after he gets off

Herring sitting down in round 2 and moves Moralde with left hook. Moralde basically coming up to 130 himself and really looking for counters. Nice southpaw jabs from Herring to end 2nd. Much better behind it. 2-0

He does that slap right hook and move out thing . Poor Moralde left standing there. Size becoming quite apparent in 3rd. Herring bringing in the physicality, 3-0.

And a Fresno crowd booing . 3rd round. Right on time fellas.

Good call he really sinks them in. And both hands! Really starting to knock Moralde around in 4th.

Not one to cry for a ref but Herring getting away with some of those looping hooks on the belt line.

4-0 Herring. Moralde won't go the distance fighting like this.

Tim finding his way on the mic now. Herrings away from his jab. Ohh nice right upper cut rocked Herring last minute of 5th! Subtle quick shot but his feet did a dance, over all in control though. Moralde needs something like that he don't see.
