    Default Damn Yankees....

No, it's not another political thread.

I can't watch the fights tonight, so while I'm keeping up with the RBR's on the forum, I've got the Yankees - Red Sox game on TV.

Yankees have homered all over the place tonight, and lead the game 6-1. They'll win tonight to get a split at Boston, then head off to New York.

Damn, I hope the Yanks don't win the World Series this year.

Was a Yankee fan from 1972 to 1988..... Bobby Murcer was my boy..... Thurman Munson.........Sparky Lyle..........went to Yankee Stadium about 12 times......threw packs of Red Man chewing tobacco to Sparky from the mezzanine level into the bullpen.......

Now? Fuck em. Overpaid overrated snobs.

Judge and Sanchez on hot streaks, hitting tape measure home runs. If Stanton catches fire.... look out. Yankees bullpen is tough to beat. Now they're going to New York.

Don't like the way this is shaping up.

Last night the Sox barely escaped with a 5-4 victory.

For a minute I thought you were a fan of The Nuge . Does a rookie year Wade Boggs have any value ? hoping to retire soon.

    Now THAT'S more like it.

Red Sox are EMBARRASSING the mighty Yankees in their own home field. Right not it's 14-1, and the Yankees can't see the game end fast enough. If it was boxing the towel would've been thrown a long time ago.

    Go Sox!!

16-1 and the housekeeping crew has been spotted cleaning up the empty seats and sweeping the floor.

Umpire Ángel Hernández by the fourth inning had managed to have three calls flagged for review and overturned by replay umpires. Three!

    By the 4th inning!

It’s the type of futility you have to marvel at, and in a sport where fans often just accept that the umpires are going to blow calls.

Thank God for replay. Who knows how many blown calls were made in the past that may have decided big games.

HUGE in 2004, the overturned calls.

I hope the Sawks save some runs for the rest of the playoffs, holy shit, Brock Holt hitting for the cycle and we have Porcello pitching vs CC Fatassia....things are looking good but you can never let the Yanks back in it, got to stop them immediately!

    LOL on the Fatassia crack.

I've always said the guy looks like Baby Huey in pinstripe pajamas. Never liked the guy. Comes in with the cap slightly twisted sideways, as if he's got a rap gig after the game.

Yeah I hope the Sox saved some runs for the rest of the series. But man, that had to be demoralizing to lose like that in Yankee Stadium (hee-hee-hee). Loved seeing the empty stands toward the end of the game.

Yeah I thought pinstripes were supposed to be slimming

It's going to be a bit of a shock going from Severino who threw heat to CC who is now just a junk pitcher.

I don't care about the tilted cap, guys in the early days of baseball always had a tilt to their hat....it wasn't until men stopped wearing hats altogether that they stopped with the tilt...for some people it works. For CC I think it was getting in the way of those subway sandwiches he enjoys so
