    Default Miller vs. Dinu

The second event of Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Boxing USA is headlined Jarrell "Big Baby" Miller taking on Bogdan Dinu for the WBA (regular) heavyweight championship on Saturday, Nov. 17 from the Kansas Star Arena and Casino in Mulvane, Kan., live and exclusively on DAZN.

In the co-main event, unified women's middleweight champion Claressa Shields defends her IBF and WBA titles against Hannah Rankin.

Also on the card, former lightweight champion Brandon Rios battles Ramon Alvarez, the older brother of unified middleweight champ Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.

Miller (22-0, 19 KOs) makes a quick turnaround when he blew out Tomasz Adamek by second-round knockout on Oct. 6 in Chicago. It had appeared Miller would be fighting Fres Oquendo on the show but Oquendo had concerns with regard to VADA testing and didn't accept the fight.

Before accepting the biggest fight of his career, Dinu (18-0, 14 KOs) had been set for action on an Oct. 27 card in Bulgaria. This will be Dinu's first fight in the United States; he has competed primarily in his native Romania and in Canada.

A victory by Miller would inch him closer to his desired goal of a clash with unified heavyweight titleholder Anthony Joshua.

That's a big dude. At first glance might look like a tree waiting to fall but Dinu moves well for his size with a quick left hook. But he's a long way from Romania. I might be hoping for an upset and want to see Miller pushed to the brink.

Why Kansas of all places .

It's an odd venue off the top. Miller frustrates the shat out of me, makes me miss an early Bowe . We've gone from Big Daddy who was called lazy at 245 to Big Baby looming on 320. That said Millers thighs are as big as Bowes arse hanging out v Coetzer.

Bogdan Dinu was a talented heavyweight, but was poorly managed earlier in his career and has not had the chance to develop into a world-class fighter.

He went through long periods of inactivity during his 20s despite showing promise in his first few pro fights. This will be a tough fight for him against a bigger, younger opponent who has faced somewhat better opposition, especially during the past five years.

Kansas because Eddie Hearn is attempting to build his new USA star signings like he does the Brits - so for this show hot prospect Nico Hernandez (USA Olympian) is the Kansas resident and Brandon Rios was born there.

    That was his spiel, anyway.

Laughably though I watched an interview with Fat Baby Miller who basically said - this place is utterly dead, boring, 80% of the shops are closed down, he doesn't know what the fuck they're all doing there.

    Weights:

    Jarrell Miller 315.4
    Bogdan Dinu 237.4

Miller outweighs Dinu by nearly 80 pounds!

Big Baby belongs in a special super-size heavyweight division for boxers over 300 pounds.

Sadly, even if Dinu deserves to win, because he's a foreign boxer he won't get a decision against an American fighter in the USA.

Has to feel odd for Miller, massive 101 words a minute heavyweight sitting in premier position for AJ rolling in to help Hearn play the long game with Nico a flyweight. Hey no points off for a team effort though. Maybe Hearn if seeing how Nebraska has blown up with Crawford and not afraid to invest in smaller venues. Ultimately with dazn does it really matter where they hold cards now compared to previous tv exclusive eras.

Not sure how far away the main event is but that arena is -empty-! Getting use to DAZN but parts of these cards and production are sooo corny . Do we need interview segments on what 'dance' a kid named White Chocolate is going to do.

I like DAZN because it has had a lot of fights, but I hate that it doesn’t give the time that the main card starts. It just gives the time the whole thing starts and it’s annoying.

And why does this announcer insist on repeating the guys name immediately afterwards... it just makes him sound like he's misprounced it and is correcting himself :S...

Arias v rosado now, combined weight of these guys must be fairly close to jarrell miller :S

Pretty sure big baby miller's career plan is to getbig enough so that he can destroy the ring when getS kod... rendering the result void.

Ring is loose and creaky today may be the day.

Mora doing commentary on the poor quality of the ring . Sounds like a Wrestling ring.

Out of curiosity anyone else having trouble opening these reply windows last hour? Site looks normal until you go to reply and it looks..odd. Like some 1985 broken lineal type. If that makes sense
