    Default Dillian Whyte

Dillian Whyte delivers ruthless verdicts on five top heavyweights, including Anthony Joshua, Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury

The Brixton man has had his say on some of his competitors delivers ruthless verdicts on five top heavyweights, including Anthony Joshua, Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury

Dillian Whyte has shared his thoughts on five of his top heavyweight rivals, and in typical Whyte fashion, his responses were absolutely brutal.

Following his knockout victory over Dereck Chisora, the contender – who is verging on a world title shot – took time out to speak to Sky Sports and analyse the other names in his division.

Whyte started with unified WBA, IBF and WBO champion Anthony Joshua who he has fought twice before – once winning in the amateurs and once losing in the professional ranks.

“It’s a good fight, a good champion,” Dillian told Sky, “I believe this time around I’ll knock him out, because I’ll take the fight to him.

“Last time I sat back and waited, I was trying to box, and trying to wait for him to get tired.

“This time I’ll take the fight to him and I know I’ve just got to hit him once. I proved that already on two separate occasions, and this time I’m in better shape, physically I’m stronger. More boxing IQ, better speed, everything.”

His attention then turned to WBC ruler, Deontay Wilder.

“Let’s go, baby,” Whyte continued, referencing his famous call-out of the American in March.

“He’s got power, but a good boxer, a decent fighter, can see his punches coming ten miles away. He swings so wide, and he’s got no boxing skills, no boxing IQ whatsoever.”

Regarding ‘lineal’ heavyweight king Tyson Fury, Dillian Whyte stated: “Long and awkward, but he’s not very powerful, and he can get hurt, as he proves time and time again. In most of his fights, he gets put down.

“I definitely would knock Tyson Fury out. I can knock Tyson Fury out. There’s no doubt in my mind when it comes to knocking Tyson Fury out, none at all.”

Away from the top three, the ‘Body Snatcher’ gave his verdict on fellow contender Alexander Povetkin, who lost to Anthony Joshua last time out, but has vowed to fight on for one or two last big bouts.

“He’s a good fighter,” Dillian admitted, “But also he’s a coward as well, because he agreed to fight me at ringside after the David Price fight.

“Then he said no, I’m not going to fight, I will sit around and wait until I get the chance to fight Anthony Joshua.”

Finally, Dillian Whyte was quizzed on America’s unbeaten Jarrell ‘Big Baby’ Miller.

Miller regularly weighs in at upwards of 300lbs, something Whyte is not a fan of.

“Miller is a big fat mess,” he declared, “I don’t understand how he can be supposedly a world level athlete and just come in the shape he does. He’s a mess. How can he be over 300lbs?”

I would say I’m shocked he didn’t mention Ortiz but his hissy fit when he was ordered to fight him and his refusal to do so let’s us know he has no interest in Ortiz.

He wasn't asked about Ortiz, which says more about how much the old man is worth in the UK than anything else. The Wilder fans love Ortiz - for obvious reasons - but unfortunately he's a nobody in the grand scheme.

It's a shame he isn't mentioned more because he's a good fight and would wreck Whyte IMO.
