Default The appeal of the underdog: Great Sporting Upsets

It was FA Cup tie time last night here in the UK and although Wolves knocking out a not full strength Liverpool side is not huge news it is a bit of an upset. What are some other great sporting upsets in which the underdog triumphed.

Leicester winning the Premier league in 15/16 has to be up there with Greece winning the Euros in 2004.

I went to the match yesterday, just under 26,000 in attendance and great atmosphere. Liverpool were poor only really impressed with Milner. The rest just over paid pampered men.

Forest winning league first year up and winning back to back European cups was better than what Leicester ever did.

Buster Douglas KO Tyson was the biggest boxing upset in my life time although Roy Jones losing to Tarver was shocking.

Dodgers over As in 88' World series. After an gimpy Gibson shocked the world with that game 1 winning dinger the tone was set!

and of course Lake Placid Winter Olympic games 1980. Do you believe in miracles....

Joe Johnson surprisingly won 1986 World Snooker Championship and was rated a 150–1 outsider to win the tournament against one of the best players ever in Steve Davis.
