Default Prograis v Relikh - Donaire v Young DAZN

Another one getting no mention here as the WBSS gets back on track. Late sub for Donaire as Tete dropped out and real shame but opportunity of a lifetime for Stephon Young. Really looking forward to unification with Prograis out of New Orleans finally staking his claim. Not sure of time and can't do much from mobile right now but should be fireworks!

The semifinals for the World Boxing Super Series (WBSS) season 2 will showcase some amazing talent with undefeated American WBC Interim champion Regis Prograis (23-0, 19 KOs) fighting in front of his hometown fans in Louisiana when he faces off against WBA champion Kiryl Relikh (23-2, 19 KOs) for a spot in the final and a chance to win the Muhammad Ali Trophy.

"The World Boxing Super Series is great not only for me, but for the sport,” Prograis said in a recent press release statement. “I saw what it did for Oleksandr Usyk winning all the belts, so I know what is possible. Winning the tournament would mean that I’m the legitimate best in the world at 140 pounds.”

Beating Terry Flanagan convincingly via a unanimous points decision in New Orleans last year, the WBC interim champion faces a tough opponent in Relikh, who overcame Eduard Troyanovsky (27-2, 24KOs) via unanimous decision in the last round.

"He is a strong dude, comes forward, but I just think if I fight like I did against Flanagan there is nobody that can come close to me," Prograis said.

He added: “Just like the amateurs, where you can’t duck anybody, it’s excellent to have fights lined up back-to-back. It’ll be a busy season, but it’ll be worth it. In the aftermath of the tournament, I should get a lot of big opportunities for a lot of big fights."

Also, in action will be WBA champion Nonito Donaire (39-5, 25 KOs) vs. WBO champion Zolani Tete (28-3, 21 KOs) in the bantamweight division semifinal.

Regis Prograis vs. Kiryl Relikh will fight at the Cajundome Arena in Lafayette, Louisiana. The 13,500-seater multi-purpose arena is also home to the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns men’s and women’s basketball programs.

    Main card
Regis Prograis vs. Kiryl Relikh – WBA & WBC Diamond super lightweight titles
Nonito Donaire vs. Zolani Tete – WBA & WBO bantamweight titles
    Undercard
Nikolai Potapov vs. Stephen Young; Bantamweights
Sonny Fredrickson vs. TBA; Super lightweights
Mason Menard vs. Ariel Vasquez; Super lightweights
Jeremy Hill vs. Kaylyn Alfred; Welterweights
Jonathan Montrel vs. TBA; Super lightweights
Sean Hemphill vs. TBA; Light heavyweights
    Selina Barios vs. TBA; Lightweights

Dazn really dragging this out showing last fight replays. To me the gem of the 140 wbss will be Prograis v Taylor if it all goes according to plan. Prograis gets real lose but best be focused on Relikh tonight.

Donaire has taken the school and is repeatedly dropping it on Youngs head. Young looking for a couple of trap counter shots in 5th but you get the feel the minute Donaire explodes he can turn it badly. Getting the point he needs to after 6th. Two different levels, remind him of it.
