Fury is on a huge money contract which is why he did not take on the immediate rematch against Wilder when it was offered to him.

The contract would've been even bigger had he taken on Wilder again and this time beat him convincingly. So no....... I'm personally not giving Fury an "out" on that one. Can't say I blame him, though.

If he is on a 3 fight deal then I am sure he is on a guaranteed minimum payment. Business and risk wise he took the easier and sensible option. Only time will tell if was the best decision in the long run.

I don't think Fury would have been stopped by Ruiz Jr. and I still think AJ may be too much for Wilder. But AJ may not have what it takes to beat Fury.
