Wilder would know how to stay behind the jab if he has to as he did with Stiverne.
Stiverne let his hands go a mere fraction of what Ruiz would. I honestly think Ruiz v Wilder is a toss up. Ruiz is pretty good at finding-making holes in a poor defense and if a Breazeale backing on his heels with his eyes closed lands clean on Wilder, Ruiz would test that swinging lantern plenty.
I've watched that KO about a dozen times now. I have to give credit for how it went down & not as a by chance wild shot landing.
I count about 3-4 seconds from the ref's final break & the KO.
At 1:01 remaining the break occurs.
The KO happens at 57 seconds remaining.
Initially I thought Brezeale had his left low, but he had his left UP to his chin. Just stop it as 58 seconds left. It's up to his chin.
Problem?
He tries to throw a left hook, while Wilder is throwing his right bomb. Accurate & quick! My bad if you know that. Took a few times to see Wilder did a damn good job of releasing an accurate right hand. As many would suggest counter over the top of the opponents shot...He did. And again...quick as heck.
