Default Posh Extinction Rebellion-vs- working class Londoners trying to earn a living.

The champagne socialist, Glastonbury loving V for Vendetta "heroes" ventured outside the safe confines of Westminster and the elite for the first time. They picked the wrong part of town. Hilarious. Dragged off, chinned and sorted in no time.

Saw it this morning and really they are picking on the wrong crowd as tube travel in environmentally friendly. They have been holding up traffic in Birmingham but that has not caused any violence. Londoners are nutters when it comes to stopping them getting to work.

Kind of makes you wonder why they'd be doing this shit right?

Another group of unhinged individuals taking a cause to ridiculous extremes. Gee.... where have we seen THAT before?

Most sensible people will support the cause and recognise there needs to be more urgent action. They need to take and harness that support rather than alienate them.

Educate, raise awareness, encourage and support people to live more environmentally friendly lives.

I'm not personally affected (in another life). I have no problem with the message, just can't stand the posh/middle-class hypocrites playing hero and saviour whilst having a big fucking rich-hippy-cultish party.

They're fake PC do-gooders who pick safe targets. There's more people of colour at a Tommy Robinson shindig.

I can get behind wanting to clean the world up a bit and preserve and conserve nature, wildlife etc, but I don't get the more extreme elements of these groups banning fossil fuels, banning air travel, banning meat consumption it all gets a bit ridiculous.

And yes they DO pick the safest of targets....never India or China in regards to their polluting. Always in public where people still for some reason treat these obnoxious assholes with dignity and respect and don't just offer up violence to them straight away...not suggesting they should, but the protesters are really pushing their limits with this kind of thing. I mean blocking entire streets is not a great thing to do....what if someone is in a medical emergency? What if there's a terrorist attack and the roads are blocked and police cannot get to the scene immediately?

It's SO privileged to do these kinds of things and they never call out their millionaire funders either.

That's the crux of the argument no? Whats the point in you and I being decent and responsible whilst commercial juggernauts bellow smoke into the air and flatten the rain forests?
When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough

I'm not certain what the crux of THEIR argument is. My argument certainly is equal parts "Well if you want a cleaner world talk to China first I'm well down your list" and "practice what you preach". Their list of things they want to accomplish is foolish and make me question their sanity.
