Oh my god!!!
First fight of the card, and Jimmy Lennon screws up big time..... calling Lionell Thompson, Lionell Davis. Promptly corrected by the corner and getting a baleful stare from Thompson, who hopefully gets more respect from Uzcatuegui.
Seen a lot of fights.... never seen that big of a screw up.
Uzcategui just got dropped at the end of the round. For a little bit he looked as if his career was going to take off but his career isn’t looking so great now
Davis Thompson dropped Uzcategui at the end of the 1st round.
Cut over Davis's Thompson's right eye.
Uzcategui is probably favored, but Thompson giving as well as he's getting.
A lot of gimmickry going on with boxing. So unranked lt hvy Thompson is " coming down for his 168 debut" and rehydrates 21 lbs for shot at the top 168 ranking of Uzcategui . Pays to have new connections. Hopefully experience takes the day in this one.
Oh ref. Ok that was pretty quick deduct
Thompson gets a point taken away from him for holding by the poor excuse of a ref they must've gotten off the corner bar & grill.
That lone kid shouting in the crowd is after Mauro Ranallos job . Thompson beginning to react a bit gun shy.
I'm watching a different fight than Bernstein and Farhood. Have giving Uz last three rounds .
Not familiar with Uzcategui at all... but I must say I'm not very impressed.
Thompson 8th was strong early. But he's going for the De La Hoya track award second half of round.
Thompson 9th based on the jab. Hate the body language though.
After a pretty good 1st half of the fight, action slowed to a crawl. Thompson dancing around too much, and Uzca totally ineffective in applying pressure. Thompson may have very well given away the last few rounds of the fight, and can only blame himself if he comes up short. Not a good night for Lionell...... getting called "Davis" by Jimmy..... getting a bogus point taken away from him...... and probably gonna find himself with the short end of the stick in this one.
