Very impressive last two fights. Neither guy was a top guy but both were definitely a step up and solid enough fighters. I’m still not 100% sold on him, but he is for sure starting to make me a believer.

I'd still pick Linares to beat him at this point.

I don’t know if I would. Linares has always had a shaky chin and he is slowing down. I think that Linares would have his moments, but I think Garcia would catch him.

Long way to go for that. Oscar didn't have the crutch or constant ease of social media manufacturing and had a half dozen former world champs under his belt 20 fights in. But in fairness Oscar was so hyped himself straight out of the Olympics. It was a sensational KO and his nerves have seemed to steady over the last year but to date his biggest scalp is a scratch n sniff win over Jayson Velez which is pretty respectable. The kid has a bright future and presence but one step at a time and keeping perspective. A Linares showdown would be massive for him but regardless of Linares and his graham cracker chin, Linares is still the depth of Linares. Personally I'd like to see Garcia get in some deeper rounds with some deeper comp first but they seem determined to microwave him into the big time. Should be very entertaining if anything and will be watching.

Just watched this fight. Had never heard of him till this week.

Early days but that was impressive.

Lightweight is getting stacked with young talent!

Lots of buzz about this kid. Good looks, power and fun to watch makes for a boxing superstar.

In all my years of watching boxing, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a weight class with so much young talent. Who knows what they will all end up being, but they are all very highly touted.

it certainly looks that way, he does keep his head up and drops his right when throwing the hook but is showing improvement with each outing. linares' latest ko looked sharp but up to that point i wasn't impressed. king ry sleeps him. bring on king ry-devin after that

Linares and Garcia pretty much a done deal as Garcia blurted out July 11th. Great little match up. Looking forward to see how-what happens when Garcia finally has to take a searing right hand. Cause we all know what happens when Linares catches one . Hope we get some quality fireworks! Garcia can springboard off of a win very nicely.

Great fight and it'll come down to who lands a bomb first i reckon.
Linares is seasoned so it's a real test for Garcia but that left hook is a bomb.

This is a real test. If he beats Linares, he at least proves to be world class

i don't really see it as a test. king ry is catching jorge at the right time. but it'll be a good experienced name opponent on his record
