Gary Ritter would have let Whyte fight on.... Bad stoppage :S

Povetkin really has slowed and lost a lot of accuracy though, he's pretty much done, obviously still got a great punch.

Just a bit. Lethal left uppercut from Povetkin.

Nothing like the uppercut KO. Hellacious shot looked like even Povetkin was shocked

Exactly. Always look spectacular and often take the longest to recover from.

That's why heavyweight boxing is THE spectacle for the sport.

He was old manned, down and out 2 minutes earlier, it was seemingly a matter of time when Whyte would have got him out of there. Probably into retirement.

Then boom! 1 punch changes 2 career trajectories in an instant!

Dam 40 year old Povetkin with the uppercut from hell, good on him to hang in there thought he was going out in another round or two

Gotta feel for Dillian there, didn't put a foot wrong until that uppercut.

Brilliant shot from Pic but he looked far from good up until he landed that uppercut.

I bet Povetkin is looking like a good option for some fighters now.

Whyte decided that he was going to carry Sasha, which was s problem but due to his co-trainer Dave Coldwell and his "don't get greedy" safety first approach that turned out to be a huge mistake and he paid a heavy cost for it.

You can't carry an old cagey and experienced veteran like Alexander Povetkin or you risk getting hurt and he did.

After the fight Povetkin's reaction was just "business as usual". He is old, but he is skilled and still has enough power and the killer instinct

Whyte was very comfortable he was hurting Povetkin at will ! down twice in the previous round 4 next round well disaster out of the blue a hell of a punch from nowhere.
Is Whyte finished no not at all he took very little punishment bare that one shot!.
Povetkin is still very dangerous that punch would have ko any HW Eddie had a face like a bulldog chewing a wasp that's why I love boxing anything can happen.🙂

The two knockdowns appeared to be flash ones. Surprised that Povetkin got up so quickly and didn't take time.

Then that uppercut that Whyte didnt see on right side of jaw.

More Whyte Jab jab jab then move in rematch.

Fury will be relieved as no more talk of a Whyte vs Fury

POvetkin was in close and got caught twice with the short left hook. Whyte didnt get the full force into either of those punches. Povetkin wasnt hurt.

But it pissed off POvetkin I think it woke him up. I had just said "that was a 10-7 round, he's way behind now, he needs to knock him out, sooner rather than later...."

Really one of the most beautiful one punch KOs I've ever seen. A thing of beauty. Sparked.
