Rick Glaser is saying that, when boxing comes back, that it will be in a TV only, no live audience. The expectation is that the fighters will make less, due to there being no money from the live gate, the TV numbers will be through the roof, so the increase in recognition will pay off down the road.

The increase in TV viewers should also mean the boxers get compensated more?

Probably not at first but down the road.

I think the boxers are getting screwed if they get less pay. TV companies will be making a lot of money from advertisers with the increase in audience and demand for live events. I think the promoters are pocketing the money.

Top Rank is working on resuming boxing in June. The fights will be in a studio setting, no audience, 3 shows a week on ESPN and the ESPN app.
