The thing is, when you protest the abuses of government by burning and looting private businesses, it kind of looks like you just jumped at the chance to get some free stuff. It makes about as much sense as other people protesting the government's abuse of authority by waving the symbol of that government and not breaking any laws.

It is very apparent to me that the media rushes to paint these things as race issues as opposed to what they really are; the logical end result of government power. If they didn't portray it that way, the guys marching with flags and the guys looting Target might realize that they are on the same side.

The looters that ransack businesses to steal stuff are a by-product of every riot known to man. It's unfortunate, because it takes away from the message wanting to be conveyed by those who are just truly angry at the racial abuses that continue happening. The looting gives people the chance to dismiss the real issues at hand by pointing at the damn looters who are just taking advantage of the situation to steal and destroy private property. All in all a sad state of affairs.
