Is it possible the variants are resisting, but the wrong people (guy) is telling us? I don't know who this dude is, but the article plays to your point.

The evidence seems to suggest that actually that vaccines like the Pfizer, Moderna and Johsnon & Johnson vaccines are very effective against variants like the the UK and South African Variant.

Efficacy and antibody levels are not the same thing though and anything that slows down the rate of transmission and decreasing the likelihood of dying or being hospitalised has to be a good thing.

I think to suggest that people saying they would not accept a weapon/that might help them fight a marauding horde about to come over your garden fence, even for $10 000 is not only daft, but frankly ridiculous just because it isn't a gun. It is still better than your bare knuckles. Millions have now been vaccinated and the evidence for their effectiveness is growing day by day.

Tomorrow I will see my Grandkids for the first time since their mother, my Daughter, caught Covid. For her it was far worse than a fucking 'hang nail'. I cannot describe the feeling of helplessness in trying to reassure her over a phone that she was going to be alright when she was struggling to breathe. She has a compromised immune system but because she is under 40 she never got offered a vaccine that in all likelihood would have meant she never got so dangerously ill. I had to go around masked and googled, gloved up to deliver food etc and the look in her and the grandkids eyes nearly broke me. Thankfully she is much better now and steroids have helped her breathing etc but it was pretty scary for a bit.

I went to see her Uncle today for his birthday and after having just recovered from Cancer I am really happy he has had the Vaccine. We are gradually returning to normality over here in the UK. Pubs serving Beer outside etc and that is down to the vaccines having been proved to be working. I am hoping it continues so that I can invite more than 15 people to our Wedding and can go back to working ringside etc. It has been a long old war and I don't care if i only have a spade or a cricket bat, it is still better than bare knuckles against an enemy that doesn't follow the Marquis of Queensbury Rules. Fuck it throw a fucking gas bottle at the bastard if it slows him down

Brazil and India have handled this pandemic very badly. Their leaders need to be put in jail.
