Default Jaime Munguia v Tureano Johnson DAZN

Massive fight weekend kicks off tonight with what might just turn out to be a good scrap. Bit odd how such a young and hyped young fighter like Munguia has fallen off the radar a bit. Wasn't to long ago he was being labeled the next Fernando Vargas. Johnson is a more than capable fighter and on paper, aside from Liam Smith..who touched Munguia all night..and maybe O'Sullivan and Hogan this is clearly one of Munguias better opponents. But you can't fight on paper and Johnson took some hard damage v Derevyanchenko. Night will most likely see youth and natural size serve up a sapping late stoppage for Jaime and he was working on skills last out, but a shocker upset might be worth a few bucks if I were the betting type. Just hoping for a good fight.

Johnson is a bit too old now. Jaime is very young. I don't think Johnson will have the durability and energy to stop Jaime.
    Bigger man George, bigger punch!

Johnson may be too old, but this may be a resurgence. Remember, Munguia is moving up in weight so his punch may not be as effective. Munguia has struggled against fighters on Johnson’s level so I’m predicting Munguia will win a controversial decision

Managed to miss majority of this card up till now. The little bit of the Elwin Soto v Carlos Buitrago I watched looked like a pretty competitive scrap and then came the 119-109 and 117-110 cards .

Not sure why but in the back of my mind I'm preparing to see a Munguia who looks well North of 160 . Johnson is not to be taken lightly but basing a Munguia win on youth and he won't have to look for Johnson who has looked real hot and cold recently.

Alright not to be an arsehole but Johnson looks like he just rolled off the couch before walking to that ring. He's gonna try to shoot it out quick and violent like

Last 10 seconds to Munguia but otherwise he was mugged that 1st round. Seriously can't see Johnson sustaining that pace in close but he's all over Jaime. Has a beer gut though, with those trunks that high he's fighting like a relentless Bert Cooper

Nice right being straightened out for Munguia. Starting to get that distance

Munguia round nice combo to end it. His lip looks busted too. That uppercut from Jaime has GPS. Johnsons legs look stiff

Munguia round the 3rd. Impressed by movement and punch selection of Munguia if I'm honest. Johnson packed a short lunch and took his shot it's beginning to look.

Johnson all with the left to body of Munguia that first minute. Pretty solid

Johnson back strong in 5th bulling Munguia around. Munguia with the flick jab and bit unsure at the moment. Talk about the ebb and flow of the sport. Have Johnson ahead 3-2

Munguia back in ripping combos start of 6th Johnson walking him down. Left eye of Johnson lumped up. Ref calls time and ohhh his lip is shredded . Daniel Alicia type gash!! Ref says 1 more round
