Here's hoping Canelo smashes BJS up and into retirement! Really don't like the fact that he is going to get a hefty payday, but he's whats in the way of Canelo holding all those titles and that's his current aim.

Billy will get on his bike all night and try to nick rounds, but Canelo should have enough about him to cut off the ring and take it to Saunders' body and break him down.

Wouldn't at all be too surprised after the fact that Saunders will be gloating on twitter about his bank balance or some shit, but hopefully he then fades into obscurity!

I'm ok with BJS, nevertheless Canelo wins.

I'm just amazed it's barely two months from the Yildirim ordeal.

I would've thought Canelo would've taken more time for his sweat to dry wounds to heal.

I don't think the Turkish boy landed a single punch, he was hurt in the 2nd and spent the next 5-6 mins shitting himself šŸ¤£

Saunders will get shafted by the judges if it's remotely close and by close I mean Saunders can't afford to lose more than 2 rounds, no way hell even wobble Canelo either.
Be interesting to see how he copes with Canelos body shots if he has succes landing them.

Bunce claims Saunders "will fight"....and be Canelo's toughest test! He knows full well like the rest of us Billy will jab and run for as long as he possibly can do.

I don't doubt BJS posses some challenges for Canelo, but he has the tools to nullify Billy's gameplan.

Saunders will go 12. But in reality he has nothing for Alvarez. It'll be 118-110 type of decision for Alvarez

Not a chance. I suggest you only ā€œnow thinkā€ that BJS would win because of what happened to Smith against Canelo.
2 ways of looking at it. Either Smith was hugely overrated , or that Canelo was hugely impressive.
As for BJS v Canelo, 5 years ago as genuine Middleweights, I wouldā€™ve given BJS a massive chance.
But itā€™s not 5 years ago. They are Super Middleweights (which helps Canelo.) and BJSā€™s biggest strengths are his skill and timing. If you donā€™t fight regularly over a period of 4 or 5 years, youā€™re gonna get rusty and youā€™re timing will be out.
Also we can only judge BJS on his best results (Lemieux and Lee over 4 years ago, and Eubank Jr. 7 years ago.) do we think any of them would trouble Canelo?
I think (like everyone Canelo fights), the odds are stacked against BJS.
Judges - BJS will not get a decision, even if he deserves it. Fact.
Location - always in Caneloā€™s favour.
Iā€™m not bumming up Canelo, I think heā€™s beatable and has got limitations. But I do think his proves that heā€™s the best around at the moment.
Maybe that says more about whatā€™s around.

I don't see how this becomes anything other than a Smith type beat down with Saunders limping over the line at best. A few years ago hot on the heels of the Lemieux dismantling yeah I think plenty would have given Billy Joe a shot. Now, Saunders has looked anything but elite and Canelo just walks through anyone who doesn't have the pop to make him think about it.

BJS will need to surpass the Lemieux performance by some distance. Not happening is it.
When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough
