    Default Tony Yoka...anyone?

Had to remind myself he was the Olympic Gold Medal winner. Just had a fight and looked pretty decent with speed if not methodical at times and didn't resign to winning the cards pushing for a late stoppage. Does being confined to France hurt him and does anyone see him doing big things? Top Rank has a few young guns at Heavy so it's not like ol greasy Bob cannot give us some early 0's must go match ups.

He zapped duhaupas in one round (I think), didn't see it but is suspect duhaupas was in bad shape as that git has proved at least durable and competent, yoka stopped Allen in 10 too, he's doing well but needs more, let's see him in v real competition. I rate hrgovic above him.

He also missed a year before the pandemic with the not taking drugs test ban.

Yoka seems good and strong but he's not looking like a superstar to me, I hope he does well though

Didn't realize that about sitting out a couple years separately. At first glance it is a tidy record for only 10 starts. Have to think with the fact he's closing in on 30 yrs old and yet to fight outside of France he better get a move on. One of the alphabet groups already has him 8th behind Filip who is now getting some great exposure on decent cards.

Think we finally got the answers Saturday night . What an absolute implosion. Martin Bakole was in complete control I couldn't get over how easily moved and weak Yoka looked. Tell you what, it had to be a couple of the most corrupt score cards handed in at 94-94 and 95-93 and that's with 2 knockdowns for Bakole!

I didn't see this fight but I looked up the result and I was quite surprised the Hamilton African bakole is 275 lbs.....i didn't think he looked that big the last few fights I saw of his, that is pretty massive. I guess it looks like yoga is indeed nothing special and won't ever win even a minor world title, well that's a shame i was hoping he'd do well.

If you scroll back through my posts on Yoka I said he was not the next man... Joyce was/is much tougher. I knew he would get beat as he started to up his competition. Good thing they didn't let him match up against someone like that Russian beast Arslanbek Makhmudov or Filip Hrgovic...he may have gotten utterly humiliated Mr Gold medalist!
