    Default RIP Murray Walker

It got a bit lost after Hagler passing on the same day yesterday.

For those outside of the UK not sure his name will mean much but for us he was part of an old school generation of commentators, like Gutteridge, Carpenter. Motson and Coleman whose real love of the sport they commentated on really brought the event to life, and left that ear print of their voice indelibly and inextricably liked with some of the timeless sporting moments they narrated.

They showed Walker getting emotional when Damon Hill won the world title. That was good memories.

I like a commentator that doesn't pretend to be neutral at times. Jonathan Pearce when England plays, Brendan Foster when British distance runners are competing.
