After nearly 50yrs of putting on the shirt I have just kept it hanging outside the wardrobe this time. Today the Mrs insisted we hang the flags up in the window and I thought that would jinx it. Watched the first half and then went and worked fully expecting extra time and penalties. Thought my mates texting me the scoreline were taking the piss, but on seeing the repeat we deserved it. Winning the opener and all those clean sheets and now beating Germany in a tournament. Brilliant.

Gonna be hardly any England fans inside the stadium in Rome due to Covid restrictions, luckily the players are well used to playing in front of no fans so shouldn't be a problem.

How many of their players would even get into our squad never mind our first team

We've done brilliant since Southgate arrived, great manager, but also credit to the change in focus at academy level over the last 20 years that has enabled us to produce so many talented players
